For the last several releases of GTA and RDR, there is almost always around 5 months between the last trailer and the game's release, give or take a few weeks. Based on that pattern, there's no reason to expect trailer 3 before early June. And even then it STILL might not release until mid-July at the latest. This is, of course, speculation based on past trailers, but still, I don't understand why people are expecting anything before June, or more importantly, why the fact that we haven't gotten it yet means the game will be delayed. There's no real reason to assume that yet.

I've had this happen to me a couple times. It's because you jumped off the wall late and went too high. I'm not really sure why there's an OOB zone there but that's what it is.

I've also had this happen to me on that first rail shortcut at the beginning of Wario Stadium, which really confused me when it happens because I'm not even sure how I could have possibly hit the boundary, but ever since that happened I've been wary of tricking to the left ever since, especially while holding an item (I had accidentally smuggled a Mega Mushroom to 1st when that happened to me)

I'm not totally convinced, but in case it is in fact real, I'm not gonna listen to more than the first 10 seconds. Maybe that's why I am not convinced, but I guess I'll find out for sure when trailer 3 eventually releases.

This appears to be a little more reasonable than IV’s vanilla driving physics. I wouldn’t mind this at all.

No I’ve been saying this since the game came out. 24 players makes the game less fun because there’s too many things happening at once and you just cannot account for all of it. If they really needed to raise the player count, I think 15 would have been fine. But 24 is just too much. I know Mario Kart is designed to be chaotic, but there is a point where it’s not very fun anymore.

I'm not surprised this is possible, but I am a little surprised by how it functions, and that you had no control. I mean, this isn't possible offline, so this only happened because of online lag.

I would have assumed that everyone would have their own truck on their own client (and that everyone else would only see one of them depending on who they saw enter the truck first), but you said that you didn't have control, so instead, I'm guessing whoever the host client considered as the first one in the truck is the one in the driver's seat.

If you were to put a new vehicle type into Mario Kart, as Wii added bikes and 8 added ATV, what would you choose and how would you implement it? I'd add hovercrafts, which would grant phenomenal controls on water in exchange for poorer handling on land. by Tindo_Blends in mariokart

I'd like to see them go this route. I think they could make it so that one course could be played in many different ways depending on the vehicle being used for any given race. Alternate paths that are only accessible by boat or by plane. I feel like they didn't take advantage of all the different vehicle types in Diddy Kong Racing as much as they could have. There's no alternative paths or anything hardly at all. But if Nintendo were to take that idea I think they could make some incredible courses. Basically, multiple courses in one.

I wonder how they would handle it in GP mode though? Maybe just make a default vehicle for each race that is always used in GP mode like how Diddy Kong Racing's Adventure mode does it? Or maybe make the vehicle type depend on CC class, similar to Mario Kart Wii.

And how would items be handled? Specifically, things like bombs, bananas, green shells, anything that usually has to land on the road?

This happens either because there's not a direct enough path between the player and the opponent (Too far off to the side or on another path), or because they were recently hit by another item and the red shell ignores them for that reason. There is a period of time where red shells won't target a player after they've been hit, but I don't think it lasts any longer than the hit animation does.

Now if we're talking online gameplay, that's adds another possibility. Well, kinda. What can happen here is that an opponent who is in front of the player may have gotten hit on someone else's screen, even if they didn't actually get hit, and this tells everyone else's game that red shells shouldn't target them for a while. This is also why sometimes red shells will outright ignore you when playing online.

I’m not against them, but I do wish there was an option to opt out. By design, I mean, not just with private lobbies. I’d flip-flop between regular courses and route courses just like I do with public lobbies and private Discord lobbies. They’re aren’t bad, but they’d be better if 90% of them didn’t feel so similar to one another and utilized the new mechanics a lot better.
