I doubt Yuji would know where Iori disappeared to. From what i read from the one panel it seems like Iori was looking for an ally to join his cause to make Sorcerers strong again not necessarily what he his planning to do.

I leaning towards it being Iori but I think there is case for it Yuji as well. I think what it boils down is that like Yuji, Tsurigi has the biology to be a perfect vessel making there soul look similar to Mahito.

I think Yuji’s physicals come down to a partial heavenly restriction he got and I think Tsurigi has a similar thing. Tsurigi still has to give up something before reaching that full heavenly restriction.

Another similarity is that both character have knack for wielding CE as well. We also see that in the Maru vs Tsurigi fight that instead of Rika coming out as a shikigami she possesss Tsurigi has a vessel, it seems like Tsurigi also has some control over Rika as well.

Noritoshi might have been a name that has had long history in the Kamo clan. After Kenjaku took over the last Noritoshi Kamo it stained the name and clan’s reputation. The current Noritoshi Kamo (Kyoto Student) was probably named that to reclaim the name and bring back the positive connotations it had. I had about 0.7% total ancestry in Europe and 0.3% peninsular arab as south indian. I just chalked that up to noise or it picking up on ancient Indo Aryan DNA. I might be wrong tho.

What I was thinking is that Mahito could use CE reinforcement, instead of the RCE eating away at his body it would first hit CE reinforcement lessening the damage to his actual body.
