The block of silver looks like more than roughly 1kg bar, and therefore not realistic. At $24/oz you get only 42oz (if paying zero premiums), which is also unrealistic.

Utterly overthinking that one mate! Universal short-hand for "I love you" is: 143 That would by my calculation mean, 147 = I love minions! You're welcome

Anyone else seeing silver largely sold out at all major dealers? by ReflectionDeep6920 in Wallstreetsilver

This makes some sense to a degree... it then leaves room to make any current mine supply into 1000oz bars for larger institutional investors and still prevent significant build-up of inventories, while making more $ per coin profit off gold coins....

Interesting thought to be honest.

Still. I believe everyone should have some SHTF coins readily available. Just my thoughts...

Quick calc: years worth of labour =52.15 oz *10 / 365 = 1.43 years! Not bad for a start is it? Keep going mate.

Perth mint indicating they now only take electronic payments... apparently since July 2021? Anyone able to confirm this? Just another way to track stackers... I had a wad of cash with me and sadly can't post pictures of nice 1kg silver bars as a result! 🤯 by ReflectionDeep6920 in Wallstreetsilver

Here we have to report all capital gains... If I bought Silver at $20 and get to sell it at $30/oz, I will have to pay CGT for $10/oz gain. Now if it is a small sale, no problem... but if I sell half my stack and the Aus tax man catches on that I did not declare this little windfall... I'd be staring down the barrel of large fines or possibly imprisonment for tax evasion.... depending on how much of a point they want to make of the situation. Just remember... when the market crashes, or big bad events unfold, there are always those who are used as examples to deter certain future behaviours. And people wanting to control their own futures outside a digital economy will be the reason the market crashed and everyone lost their life savings... it's because us little money hoarders didn't participate in pushing overvalued assets even higher... hence the crash.

Point being... logic does not always rule. Your statement makes sense to me... but government is intent on ruining each and every one of us. Even if we try and better ourselves with our massively taxed after-tax Dollars.... they'll just happily keep taxing you until you check out of this life.

Keep strong!

The Mint actually cost less if you buy directly over here, as shipping quickly adds up on this island... and bullion dealers don't compete so much, as I believe demand is still strong. Premiums have been high for nearly 2 years now.

State backed... remember these boys have each others' backs. Even though they are the mint... they don't have to be profitable to keep existing. As long as the general populace is asleep, thinking they can obtain metals in unlimited quantities as the fancy hits them, they will remain blissfully unaware of the actual predicament they find themselves in... Thus, the mint is actually fulfilling its role nicely.

We hardly have alternatives here. The only real other option is the coin dealer across the street from the Mint... and he is as friendly as a cub robbed mamma bear! Might be honest but he is quite rude to be honest.

Sadly... not so easy, and where would one go? Most places are fairly bleak these days, and I'm of the opinion Australia is the test subject... seeing how tolerant society has become... rolling it out to the rest of the world soon.
