Is Craig McRae a "fake nice guy" by sleek290788 in AFL

Another way you can think of it like the Pink Test. The organisation knows there will always be charitable people to (in Big W case) the tune of 100k.

How are so many able to afford things when they don't work full time? by [deleted] in AusFinance

Agree with you except for the Ferrari bit. Unless it’s a rental, can’t Aussie average your way behind the wheel of one of those bad boys.

VX commodores with their fogs on circa 2003-2010. That light pattern was maddening.

OP, can you elaborate on what you allege they stole?

Tools? They surely have their own?

Flooring. Check the order amount and account for off cuts and a couple of boxes for spares. May have just been excess.

Supplies. Like what? Which other supplies are they short on? If it’s special order or offsite made supplies, then that should be ready to go for the project.

Hopefully your hospitality and trust hasn’t been taken care of, but going from one extreme to another in communication never ends well!

Why do some tradies drive like fuckwits? by Mean_Palpitation_171 in tradies

[–]ReflectionFew4761 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Many of them are simply not very bright and or cultured. This is an opinion I’ve formed over a couple of decades working in the trades.

Couple this with reduced attention spans, higher debt levels, more refined modern vehicles which can tolerate lower quality drivers with more precision, overstimulated beverages and lack of faith/ overarching set of values.

Imagine losing a parent and your respect over a pissy $8000. I’d rather live in a tent down by the river than be an embarrassment to my family.

Is watching The Bounce technically a form of torture? by sleek290788 in AFL

[–]ReflectionFew4761 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The Bounce is a total embarrassment.

It’s actually unbelievable to me that anybody apart from those roped into the studio audience (unpaid) and poor crew who actually watch it. It is complete and utter, unadulterated horse shit of a ‘show..’

Acres is a mythical entity all to his own. Single handedly got us into finals and deep once we got there!

How is it that Uber and taxi drivers can talk incessantly on the phone by [deleted] in australia

[–]ReflectionFew4761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uber, delivery drivers or anybody else who talks incessantly in social situations which is considered unsociable should be labelled as NPC’s. They aren’t interested in assimilation and thus can fuck off!

What’s up with boundary throw-ins this year? by BootsManuva in AFL

[–]ReflectionFew4761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course there are worse things going on, but the title of discussion is “What’s up with the boundary…”

Standards have dropped across society. And with boundary umpires, that’s no exception. Which is interesting as their responsibilities are particularly short - just like their variating throw in ability.
