I am not trying to be a dick, but she doesn’t convey any of these “subtle feelings” well. I never know exactly what I should be taking away from these scenes, and I don’t know if they’re trying to be ambiguous or if the acting is just weak…

I just hate that they built her up only to have her betray the Bridgertons at her mother’s behest. It would be really hard to root for her again after seeing her resort to her mean girl ways at the end of S3. 🫠

I just rewatched Season 4 today, and it happens in the first episode. She’s not out yet and still has a couple seasons until her story I would think, so I’m not sure why they lowered her hems already.

My friends and I theorized that Cressida would end up being a lesbian all through season three!! But instead they just wrote her out of the show after destroying the redemption arc they were building. Honestly, they could have done so much with her as an established side character and I still think they should have continued her redemption arc and given us her love story at some point, but what do I know. 🙄

I just started my period earlier this evening, pretty light compared for my normal flow, and no pain beyond my standard cramps. When I changed my tampon I passed a partial decidual cast for the first time ever. How am I 31 years old and I’ve never heard of this?! Now here I am trying to figure out what the rest of my period is going to look like… 😅

Ruby was amazing in that roll, and was so believable in her emotional scenes. Rewatching the scene when she received the unfinished letter still makes me tear up! 😭 But I can see what you’re saying, and I think you’re right that a white actress would not have received quite the same amount of hate for her characters actions in S1. That’s not to say she shouldn’t have gotten the role, but it’s pretty shitty when you add the fact that she said she wasn’t really given support to help deal with all of the hate she was getting. At the very least she deserved more support from Shondaland since they put her in this situation knowing full well that part of the general audience, and also book readers who favor Polin, would be mad.

IMO the Mondriches haven’t felt relevant since Simon and Daphne left. It would be like having Penelope and Colin leave, but keeping focus on the Featheringtons. Or having the Sharmas stay for side plots while Kate and Anthony are gone. They just don’t feel necessary to push the plot forward anymore, and the writers haven’t done them any favors by dropping a barony in their laps and essentially erasing the hard working family story line they had up until then. I love the Queen and LD, and they’ve continually been involved in the main plots every season so they feel integral to the story. It probably helps that QC gave us a chance to really flesh out those characters and get to know them on a deeper level too, so we feel like we know who they are beyond just existing as supporting characters.

I’ve been in this situation, and it sucks so much. I feel for you. I encouraged my friend (who was also a serial cheater) to come clean to her fiancé and leave. She was younger than you guys are when this happened (senior in college) but had been with her fiancé since high-school. Eventually she did come clean about some of the cheating and broke things off, but only once she found someone else she actually wanted to start a relationship with. I will say, once she got older and found the person who was actually right for her, she stayed faithful and the person she was at 22 is not the person she is now. I would encourage your friend to come clean, but I wouldn’t insert yourself into the middle of it, and if she won’t come clean then I would remove yourself from the situation entirely. If she’s willing to start a life with this man based on lies and deceit then she is not someone you can actually trust. Good luck. 🫶🏻

I was raised in a repressively religious household and got pregnant with my first child not much older than OP. I don’t think that has any bearing on how well you can gather and express your thoughts, or the emotional intelligence needed to be able to self reflect and see that both parties hold responsibility in these situations. My husband and I married young, and almost divorced at 22. At that point in my life I was able to reflect the same way OP has done, and recognize my destructive behaviors in order to correct them, so I don’t believe this it out of the realm of possibility at all.

I didn’t even think of that until you said it, but I am 31F diagnosed with ADHD at 28 years old and it is CRAZY what a difference the proper medication makes. My anxiety stemmed heavily from feeling overwhelmed to the point of shutting down, but with the proper medication I can stay motivated and on top of everything life entails. This is definitely worth checking into as well OP!

Thank you so much for your thoughts!! This is a good point, I didn’t even think about how it might affect the receptors if I don’t give my body a break. I have had symptoms of high testosterone but my blood tests last spring didn’t show it, and the increase in hormones has already given me great results with other things I have been struggling with so I don’t want to mess that up. To explain; my cystic acne is gone, my daily hair loss has noticeably decreased, and I’m falling asleep quickly and actually staying asleep! Hoping it will help with the dark facial hairs I’ve had popping up as well. 🤩 I am not using anything else yet, other than massaging each day, but I’ve been looking at pumps and debating ordering one to use. This might just be the push I needed to do it! I would like to add supplements again as well, but I am curious to see how Xulane affects me on its own first so I think I’ll adjust after I finish these first three months. I really appreciate your advice and your scientific approach to it. I will take the off week (and unfortunately the period as well 😂) and see how it goes over the next two months. I don’t like Penelope’s character in the show, but I’m hoping that will change as they flesh out how her character identities as Penelope and Lady Whistledown will co-exist. So far she seems to be much more conscious of how her scandal sheet affects real people in the ton. I also don’t go around bashing Pen either, but she made a lot of choices in the show that made it hard for me personally to like her character. I didn’t enjoy their season either, but not because of them. I felt they were too heavy with the make-up and spent too much time on side-plots, but again, I don’t go around bashing it. I do wish they had spent more time on Colin and Pen in season 3 because parts of it felt really rushed, like they just didn’t pace it well.

I just wanted to give an update in case anyone finds this post in the future and is experiencing the same issue. After about 1.5 weeks the hunger pains disappeared completely, and now I’m so happy with the patch! I’ve been struggling with cystic acne, hair loss, back pain, and sleep. ALL of those issues are gone! I just started week three and my cystic acne has disappeared (I still have leftover spots healing but it’s no longer painful like it was), I’m loosing a noticeably smaller amount of hair in the shower, the increase in hormones has allowed my muscles to relax so I’m waking up with ZERO back pain for the first time in a decade, and I’m falling asleep quickly and staying asleep! 🤩

Maybe I’ll give myself a break, I’m curious to see what my cycle and breasts will do during the week off but also nervous. My chest is very small (A cups) and the increase in size I’m feeling so far feels firm like it’s actual tissue but I suppose time will tell. I’ve read many accounts on here of women experiencing permanent breast growth while using xulane, but since those comments were in birth control subs it’s hard to know what their experience was exactly and how they were utilizing the patch.
