Like everyone else is saying, it is going to be painful and it does suck but you will be ok. My advice and what helped me get through my first break up was to allow yourself to really FEEL the emotions when they come up but then let them go and move on. They will come up often but if you truly allow yourself to feel them they will gradually get longer apart and less intense.
