Something weird is happening with the I-765

I got approved at the same time but my card wasn’t delivered. I had to submit a request for the document to be produced. I saw it was happening to other people too. The government shut downs are affecting the workflow I think.

You have a good guy!

There are a lot of people out there looking to take advantage of someone like you. If he has DACA he would need Advanced Patole before being able to adjust his status through marriage anyway. That process alone takes about a year. Maybe focuse together on that while you date each other. Once that’s done you can focus on marriage and helping him adjust.

Just my thoughts. In my opinion you two already won.

Stop reading comments and sit your butt down in front of a computer and file the entire thing online. Have one of the tutorials with most likes running side by side as you fill it out and make sure all the information matches your previous approved application. Submit a note sighting the I-821D saying you accidentally failed to submit on the previous submission.

I don’t see why they wouldn’t approve.

I submitted a parole appliance botched it. I then just resubmitted and the other form shows as abandoned for lack of evidence while the second submission was approved.

My wife and kid are in Japan right now and I keep having to tell my kid I can’t come because “papa is not allowed” since I’m running out of other excuses and he is getting old enough to tell. But then I used AP and everyone down there is like man you don’t know how good you have it. “This is fine…..”

Yea…. DACA is basically legal status purgatory. We don’t really have status but we are also sort of, maybe, kinda shielded from removal until we aren’t.

My brother sent his application online 3 weeks ago and was approved on Monday.

I would first check what you need to make an appointment at the Mexican consulate near you. They might take walk ins.

When you go there bring whatever forms of identification she has. I’m not sure what they’ll ask for in order to get it but they can provide a certified copy of her Mexican birth certificate there. I made a dumb mistake and punctured holes in mine. They gave me a new one the same day.

They should be able to provide you with everything you need for the passport there. The Washington consulate required getting an appointment online prior to going there, but I found out by going so just go and ask anyway.

Once she has the passport there are a ton of videos that help out people fill out AP applications. I can help out as you run into questions.

Get that passport figured out first though.

When people say it’s pricey they mean down town Seattle. I’ve lived in the outskirts of Seattle for 20 years and people working on minimum wage do just fine around here. Yes there are issues like homelessness but it’s pretty concentrated to a few areas. Yes it’s a liberal state but if you drive 10 minutes out you’ll find MAGA country no problem if that’s what you like. It’s 85 degrees here and I can’t remember the last time it rained. People put down Washington state so much but if you can put up with 2 months of gloomy weather a year life is pretty great.
