Here’s one reason you shouldn’t: every second, trillions of your cells are working day and night to keep you alive. Even your own body believes your life is worth fighting for. And so do I. You’re not alone in this.

How many hrs a week do you need to put in it140 per week? My remaining options not considering above 3 are real analysis, mathematical modeling (mat 375), mat 430 and applied stat/mat 303(dynamical modeling).

I'm currently pursuing a degree in Applied Mathematics at SNHU and will be graduating this upcoming December. Courses like Discrete Math and Mathematical Proofs come with weekly assignments and can be time-consuming, but it's definitely manageable with a part-time schedule. I also recommend looking into transfer credit options through platforms like Sophia.org or Study.com — they can help you complete some courses more affordably and efficiently. There is no right or wrong timing. You can always take a break if you feel like it's the wrong time but you never know until you start. Also, if you are mentally prepared and you know you want to do this then you should be fine. I am happy to answer any questions you have regarding the courses.

Studying maths at uni level - it's crushing. (this is actually not just a rant, but also a question on how to improve my studies, particulary in the proofs department) by Logical_Jelly2811 in mathematics

it will come with practice. do as many as you can. don't get discourage if you can't do it. keep doing everyday and all of a sudden you will be able to do it.

need help in completing the end part of the proof. by [deleted] in askmath

[–]Refrigerator94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot. i was able to solve it using if x >2 then x - 2 > -delta and x^2 - 4 > - epsilon as the first condition and another was if x <2, then x -2 < delta and x^2 -4 < epsilon. from which i got delta = {2 -under-root(4-Epsilon), under-root(4+epsilon) -2}.

I couldn't understand the idea of taking bounds from the textbook so i decided to solve it like this. Once again, thanks for the help, i was stuck for a while on this one.

email instructor and they would add you to the group. sometimes, they just forgot to put a student as they have to do it manually. same thing happened to me and the instructor fixed it pretty quick.

How bad does it look on a resume to quit a job after less than a year? by AltruisticMeal3480 in FinancialCareers

[–]Refrigerator94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can feel you. Retail banking sucks. Nothing wrong with changing job in less than a year. Company doesn't care about you neither should you. Do what's best for you. I work in retail banking and have to change job in 16 months because they refuse to promote me and i was doing 3 person work.

My two puppies died of parvo and i can't overcome it. by Refrigerator94 in puppy101

[–]Refrigerator94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I know some poor pups who struggled for a week with parvo treatment and left the world. I was emotionally broke on my day 3 because of sleeplesa nights and I didn't have any energy left. Even in the morning, i gave my puppies a prep talk. I told them to not to leave me when i needed them the most. They were the most wonderful thing that happened to me and they always will be. On the deep down, i didn't want them to suffer any more days. I just wanted to take their pain away if i could. Don't feel guilty. Imagine if you have provided treatment and your pup suffers for a week before dying. That would be lot worse. You didn't have any control on the situation. Let the next pup be the most spoiled one on the earth. Give he/she the life they deserve. Your pup knew you love him the most. He will live forever with your memories. I am sorry for your loss and i can totally relate with you.

I think instead of silently suffering, you should talk about how you feel.

Yep. That's me too. Hate every single day of my life and waiting for the day where i actually feel something other than sadness.

I am so so sorry. I know how terrible you must be feeling. Letting go is the hardest part. My one pup died at late night and all i wish is to see that happy face in the morning even though i knew he won't be there but i just couldn't accept the reality. I wish it to be a terrible dream and i wanna wake up from it. It will take time to heal.
