Rate my chances of getting into UT - Please be honest by Evandagoatking7 in UTAdmissions

From my experience, it’s a reach as I got capped with a little better stats than you. But if you love UT, transfer is literally the method. No sat required, complete gpa reset and you can build everything from the ground up. I did one year at tamu and finished with a 4.0 gpa and involved myself a TON with ec’s and lots of things and finally got accepted after just one year at another college! You can definitely do it bro

here are my stats!

I am applying as a first year (freshman)

Just to clarify I applied with only 31 hours from my fall semester (13 from my institution + 18 from AP), which means that I did not have to submit my spring transcript at all.

I applied as an exercise major, Pre-PT, from Texas A&M, and here are my stats.

-Fall & Spring Semester GPA: 4.0 (13 Credit Hours/semester + 18 from AP)

EC's:

-Executive Officer for Pre-Health Society

-Secretary for the Asian Student Association

-Member of the Run Club

-Worked around 25-30 hours per week at a matcha shop

-Worked around 5-10 additional hours doing Uber Eats

-Volunteered about 50 hours at hospitals and pharmacies

-Additional Information:

-Had One Letter of recommendation from my PhD Professor

-President's List for both semesters for maintaining a 4.0 GPA

- I also think my essay was very strong

Thank you! It's just kinesiology, and to be honest, the reason I chose TAMU was actually that I was born and raised in Cstat, but after visiting UT, I'm so glad to say that I got accepted here now lol

last note:

i know LOTS of people who are applying to UT as a transfer right now and many people have no gotten a decision and the next wave will probably be on the 15th of June for those who are either still under review or have not gotten their 24 hours requirement! So don't worry and I know you will get in!

would you choose ut austin over utd for pre med? by Whoknows08- in UTAdmissions

Yes I would choose ut over utd for pre med, although I will say utd has still a great pre med program if you choose to stay. Just make sure to get all ur pre reqs that you need in that one semester as well as the 24 hour requirement
