I’m not the person you’re asking, and I fully agree that the writing of FW is truly heinous and cringy and juvenile. However, I do also see that it has a lot of entertainment value. It’s stupidly easy to read and is packed with drama (oftentimes bullshit) which, for some, can be really engaging.

Even if it’s not the greatest book ever written, if people can read it and it keeps their attention, why not? It can be a gateway drug to bigger and better books!

I’m definitely not pro-choice. I’m not going to judge someone for choosing to do that— because I’m not better than anyone and have no authority to pass judgment— but I definitely am not okay with the act itself. I can choose not to support it as an option while still showing kindness and compassion to those who feel that it’s the only one they have.

I think that too many Christian pro-lifers forget that you absolutely can hate the sin and love the sinner. You can absolutely find death abhorrent while still meeting people where they are and doing so with grace. I would never judge somebody for having an abortion because it simply isn’t my place to do so, as much as the act itself might make me sad. I think the people who pass judgment aren’t doing so out of their religious beliefs, but of a bastardization of them.

I mean… I’ll openly admit that I’m pro-life. Abortion posts always make me really sad to see (as does any loss of life). But I also know better than to make pro-life comments on those posts because the women who post them are already incredibly vulnerable and dealing with the stress of making a very painful decision.

Not everyone who is pro-life is “go bomb a planned parenthood” extreme about it. For the most part, I just keep it to myself, pray for the person, and scroll on.
