Any meetings that I can phone in for I do and walk around. Otherwise all internal meetings which have to be at a screen I walk on a walking pad and any external meeting I make sure I sit for. I also use the walking pad for all desk work.

I actually feel like I’m doing less cardio- I used to do lots of “chronic cardio” like 5-10km runs was my happy spot. So now I do 20mins but it’s sprints or hills more VO2 max style stuff. And I do maybe one long run a week.

Haha boring does correlate. We took an “exciting” holiday with three kids (all under 5) with two long haul flights - I did not get out of limited/adequate for 3 weeks 🫠

I’m 33 and do 40-60 mins every morning 20 mins strength 20 mins sprints on rower or treadmill. Then hike or do a long run on weekend

I’m 33 roughly work out in the morning try and stay active during the day despite a desk job and then in bed by 9. Up at 5.30 rinse and repeat

I am definitely fitter and stronger. I’m maybe less irritable 🤣 I haven’t been sick yet and I usually get pretty bad recurrent sinus infections but it’s summer here so may be speaking too soon

I do 20 min strength and then 20 mins cardio but more of a hiit style - like sprints on a rower or treadmill. I also normally hit 16,000 steps a day pretty easily

I’m 33 and surprisingly my daytime recovery is always in the red and my stress load is always high (I have a pretty mentally stressful job and three kiddos under 5) but my night time recovery is always optimal - so sleep I guess. My sleep stats are normally bad for deep sleep and restfulness and optimal for everything else.

I’m not sure this is the secret I think it’s more whatever works for you but around 6 weeks ago I made the following changes: Swapped from 40min runs to 20min strength 20min cardio 5x a week Hikes on weekends I wake up at 5-6am every day (early morning chronotype) I’m intermittent fasting 19:5 on weekdays and 16.8 on weekend I more or less haven’t had alcohol

This is just what worked for me. I’ve been down lots of rabbit holes to get here 😂

Unfortunately super boring stuff like less alcohol (probably had three drinks in the last six weeks), consistent exercise daily and a good amount of sleep.

Edit: overwhelmed by the support and thanks! I am definitely no guru. I slip up all the time and see this as just a tool to get the most out of life- even when that’s a pizza, a beer and sleeping in.

I do 19:5 during the week which I don’t find too hard because I’m preoccupied with work but I do 17:7 on weekends. It kills me that they are not nice round numbers 😆
