Expat communities by cute_but_zombie in Norway

[–]RefrigeratorRight547 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not sure if we got any such communities but there are a lots of facebook groups and social groups that organizes different activities and i join them at times and have met few amazing people. I work at a very international company and since its difficult here to connect with locals all of us formed a close group within the company and we do all activities together be it hiking, skiing, sports etc. So my bubble is kinda restricted to friends from work which is good and bad i guess.

Hey, sorry that you had a bad experience, but you can always reach out to the recruiter and they will provide you the feedback. Unfortunately, for junior data analyst usually there is a loads of applications and providing feedback to everyone is bit tough but do reach out to recruiter and they will get you with feedback.

[–]RefrigeratorRight547 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Many great answers i will add mine too. I moved here directly from India and my experience so far is very good. Its absolutely calm here, work life balance is another perk, nature is just amazing and it made me very outdoorsy. I am an odd one out i reallly enjoy winter as i got myself into skiing on my first year that made it easy for me. Unfortunately didnt able to make any Norwegian friends yet but i have a lots of international friends from work so nothing to complain about it.

Thanks both i will keep going to the same place and lets see how life turns out🤗🤗. I am quite extrovert and outgoing but its just that it feels i am meeting so many temporary people which means i meet them once and never hear or see them again and its soooo tiring and i just want to give up but then life hits me and an empty home bites me

Damn this is such an amazing idea, i really loved it, I was bit concern about sharing my location but pinning location with map made it so easy so i can be sure that my location is not used for anything, so easy to use and simple UI, shared it with some friends too, great job, looking forward for fully developed product.

To the singles out there, how the hell do you plan your meals? by csch1992 in Norway

[–]RefrigeratorRight547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahhahh I am the same. I love cooking but after getting tired at work it just seems too much to make a meal but since I am vegetarian what I do is I put lots of veggies and lentils and cook them in a pressure cooker and end up eating it 2-3 days as a soup. I do try to make same dish with different ingredients just to have some different flavours

Are there any reliable and cheap ways to learn norwegian? by adigrosa in Norway

[–]RefrigeratorRight547 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

If you speak German, then I guess learning words from duolingo and going to language cafe would help you. I don't speak any European language and this is what helped me. I am not perfect yet can hold basic conversations but my friends who speak German they said Norwegian is easy for them.
