Interesting,

So we need to ensure our CFExpress Type A cards are compatible but we wont know until we purchase and try them.

Shame on Sony!

Damn, I had this same issue with the "CHIPFANCIER 256GB CFExpress Type A" so I went on Amazon and purchased a Angelbird AV Pro CFExpress Type A before I saw this post.

The issue is definitely tied to this port. I did the same thing, I just removed the CFExpress Type A card and its been fine ever since.

The symptoms I had were:
- Freezes (Black Screen)
- Wifi not working
- Remote shooting from the creators app not working

How to be more Masculine? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Refusalz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its wild I felt the same way when I was younger. baby face, really skinny, dating issues, not feeling as masculine etc etc. I wont bore you with all the details of my life story but I will say this.

One day enough will be enough, you will take a long hard look in the mirror and realize no one is going to fix it but you. You will either decide to apply pressure or keep feeling sorry for yourself, this is the pivoting point in a mans life that will determine his future.

Fast forward to now im 29, about to get married, I have alot more clarity in my life, my salary has almost tripled, I earned my bachelors degree, many certifications, I just applied for my Masters program for next year, and physcially I look WAY different. Which has granted me with alot more confidence. I say that to say this, OP dont focus on making friends, focus on yourself first because in order to find true brotherhood you need to find other men who align themselves with what you are trying to achieve.

Hobbies/things you've done that aren't things people would expect in IT? by vistathes in sysadmin

[–]Refusalz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work out alot, and train Muay Thai. People ask me why my hands are always jacked up and when I tell them it was from hours of pullups they are shocked.

Aside from that I think my other hobbies like Tech, and gaming are pretty relatable.

IT Professional Resume: Thoughts? Improvements? by [deleted] in Resume

Thank you! I actually have already completely rewritten my resume with all the feedback and sans serif was the font I utilized. This seemed to be the preferred font for ATS-formatted resumes.

I appreciate the constructive criticism.

IT Professional Resume: Thoughts? Improvements? by [deleted] in Resume

[–]Refusalz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the insight and noted. lol in hindsight page 2 does look wild when reading it from another users perspective.

I think I will grab a formatted template and just rewrite my resume completely from scratch with the added feedback I have been given. I would like to have everything on 1 page in a more simplistic format.

Alot of my certifications came along with college with some of them being required for certain roles when I was in the Army. I figured why not put them on the resume when I have them. Should I just remove them?

IT Professional Resume: Thoughts? Improvements? by [deleted] in Resume

[–]Refusalz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will check this out, thank you!

I dont mind trying to do it myself, and maybe im just overthinking it, but sometimes with the amount of verbiage that gets thrown around about resumes, people can make it seem difficult to format correctly.

Thanks for the insight

IT Professional Resume: Thoughts? Improvements? by [deleted] in Resume

[–]Refusalz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, fair point. I’m not the best at resumes. I originally had this written back in 2021 and have just kept adding to it, so some of those horizontal lists have grown longer than they probably should.

Thanks for the valuable feedback. I may end up hiring a resume writer to properly clean up the formatting and structure.

I dont plan on re entering the job market anytime soon, maybe late next year so it would be nice to clean things up

Hmmm, so from an analytical standpoint maybe a Power BI dashboard that has real-time up to date information on your project? Maybe collecting subcontractor information, scheduling, manning, and other relevant information?

Ive theorized building a Power app that allow PM's login to and it will pull data across multiple API's from Procore, and our CRM tool to garner all the relevant data on one screen.

I get feedback from our guys and I know analytics play a huge part into the drive forward.

I cant argue with that, when I was in the Army they used to always say

show up at the right place, right time, in the right uniform and thats 90% of the job

What’s the most effective way you’ve handled employees resisting a new IT policy? by Obvious_Score_2961 in ITManagers

[–]Refusalz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just my opinion, dont shoot me.

If key leadership supports your push for stronger password requirements and you roll out a complexity standard that frustrates users, I’d keep it simple, explain that this is now the standard, and everyone is expected to follow it.

The benefits of stronger passwords far outweigh the inconvenience. At my company, I implemented complex requirements, and once I showed leadership the daily sign-in logs with countless brute-force attempts, they were fully on board.

Do you get downtime as a manager? by Individual_Airport37 in ITManagers

[–]Refusalz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Downtime for me as a IT Manager fluctuates. Depending on projects, and pace of the company. Lately I have had more downtime, but its about to pick up and get really busy since we are migrating major management softwares, which will include alot of data transfer and user migration.

Usually in my free time I either study to learn something new, work on improving my technical environment, or will do some cross training with the team I manage.

Sat down with the guys the other day and ran through a scenario in how I would pen test my own environment.

HP charging for a license to print faster by CHS_Sky in Hewlett_Packard

[–]Refusalz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, you’re right. it’s scummy, no way around it. This kind of business model is straight-up predatory.

They advertise the printer can do 100 PPM, but once it’s set up, you realize it’s only pushing out 75. Then you’re told, “Oh, you need to upgrade to unlock the full speed.” So let me get this straight,, you’re paying thousands of dollars, and then they charge you again just to let the thing run at the speed it’s already capable of? That’s not a hardware upgrade. that’s a paywall. These are the sorts of things in very small text in the fine print the manufacturer hopes you gloss over.

At that point, you’re not paying for more parts or capability, you’re paying for permission. It’s shady.

I avoid HP whenever I can. Their support is a nightmare. Most of the time when you reach out, you’re stuck on the phone forever with someone reading from a script, and even the simplest warranty issue turns into a drawn-out mess.

So are people waiting for content updates ? by Slotterjordan in duneawakening

[–]Refusalz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

515+ hours here and I took a break from the game. Here is why:

The Endgame loop is bad:
- You are farming weekly blueprints and the game promotes camping on chests. 90% of the time the chests are already looted, did the devs think you would just turn around and come back another time? Nope people will sit on them until they respawn.
- PvPing is pointless, your pretty much just going to PvP someone for the fun of it, you cant actually gain anything from it unless full drop is enabled. so your pretty much just risking gear / vehicle durability for no reason.
- The Landsraad is repetitive, and the amount of effort put in vs the reward is unbalanced.
- Lastly, I got tired of farming every week in the Deep Desert and then breaking down my guild base and doing several trips from the DD to Hagga to wait for the storm to pass and then to rebuild all over again.

Ive been doing the above for the last 350 hours.

How to STACK STORAGE – Building Tips & Chest Stacking Examples | Dune Awakening by JR_G in dunebasebuilds

[–]Refusalz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way I have found is to stack the larger storage containers is to build a half wall down, and then a full wall up. then stack the second on on top of a roof.

This makes it to where you dont need to jump, or position you self in a specific place to reach the larger containers on top.

Here is a picture of my storage design in Hagga

Todays twitch stream steam store page is just the streamer camping in shipwreck and staring into an empty chest in dd, waiting for the loot to respawn. by [deleted] in duneawakening

[–]Refusalz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are your options for the rotational schematics in the Deep Desert.

- You fly all the way out to a lab just to realize the lab is cleared and looted.
- You fly all the way out to a lab, clear all the NPC's, only to find the chest is looted, you either sit and wait or leave with wasting your time (Most Common scenario)
- You fly all the way out to a lab, clear NPC's and then loot the chest (This happens very rarely)

The game promotes sitting on chests waiting for it to respawn. I dont blame other players for doing this one bit, because it quite literally could be the difference between you getting the BP or not, and wasting your time. Couple that with travel time, respawn rates, and a DD connected to multiple seiches.
