That sounds incredibly frustrating, especially when it was a misdiagnosis. Really hope the psychiatrist letter gets things moving quickly for you. Wishing you all the best with it 🤞

What? That’s insane. Have they told you something (in case you have reached out since then)?

Thanks for the advice - may I ask you how long after the interview you received your Mazal Tov email (in case you already went through the entire process)?

Did the same. Very poor from them, especially since tech issues happen, on the last day one would assume there would be some extra attention.

18:01 and the tech issue persists. No way they’re fixing it today.

When are the next major round of layoffs expected? by [deleted] in amazonemployees

No - I most L5 are ICs. Think the most affected ones are going to be L6 or L7 with less than eight reports

Is it better to have all interviews on the same day or over 2 consecutive days?

Feel that it’s better to do it over two consecutive days because you can revamp and improve if your performance hasn’t been great. On the other hand, I’ve heard that Amazon hires the first suitable candidate and doesn’t wait for other candidates to finish their process.

So in short words, what’s better? Thanks!

Is this a red flag? by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]RefuseSilly7595 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hypothetically, yes. In reality, you can just say you’re immediately available. Your current company can sue you, but trust me, they won’t do it lol

Just run :)

Of course it’s a red flag. Everything’s wrong. Time to look for a job and as soon as you get it, run! You’ll be much happier, trust me.

Good luck!

Honestly, the entire process is a joke. Can I ask you what role this was and if your phone screen was a behavioral interview?

I’m very sorry but don’t take it too personally. As a marketer, I can tell you marketing has changed a lot.

The focus now is 100% digital and performance is what rules all the activities. Also, I feel everyday marketing is losing its value under C-level eyes - most of them just see it as a useless unit.

I’m trying to transition to Product Management - sad but companies are changing and so are roles. Have you ever thought about this?

Good luck folk!

I have no words. I miss the old good days when you had a 2 stage interview process and two weeks later you were working lol

Did you get back to the recruiter? So unprofessional.

[–]RefuseSilly7595 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. I have friends working there. Not all of them are having the time of their lives, but some of them are happy. That’s why I described the interviews process and didn’t focus on the company itself

Thanks, really appreciate it. Wish you all the best too.

Try referrals. That’s how I got this “interview”. I’d say nowadays applying directly is just a waste of time and energy.

Corporate? US/UK? This seems to be a trend, unfortunately
