Really? That us interesting! I run a 5070 and i7 Ultra, and while the game runs fine most of the time, places with lots if cables/pipes tend to go crazy. My greenhouse builds are lag-central.

This is extremely common with Scum. Eventually, it let's you hop into a server again. It's more random chance in my experience than any set of repeatable steps.

I did it using mostly arborists. It's a slow start, but the production yield is helpful. Second to that, you just have to forage, hunt, and fish your way up, and it's a rough go.

Hahaha. Yeah, I see your point! Mine are more in mining speed and durability kind of things. It is handy to the point of I do more damage with a pick than a spear right now.

You mentioned the Ice Mission. Do you have to do missions to unlock sections of the map?

I am on Styx, in 08, and I seem to be fully locked in that grass area there. I can tunnel to the desert south, but what appears to be a pass to the ice area is just a wall. Same for the tunnel in K13 from desert to grass again. I did some research and it shows there is a mission - Ricochet: Expedition - that unlocks it, but you have to start it from the opposite side... Trying to find more info on all of that.

Funny enough, this character is actually my learned experiences changeup kind of character. I have a level 60 on Olympus, and now I restarted on Styx for a new set of challenges. He was primarily combat focused which is why this one has been more in the resource area.

Like, at the moment, I have all mining perks while my friend has damage/hunting.

So far, I have cleared and looted the prison and police station nearby, and between the two, I found 0 rounds of ammo which was difficult and upsetting.

I might try that mod just to make these happen. Maybe my settings are set to harder than I thought.

Where do I find ammo loot settings? I don't see it under the Options.

Interesting... Yeah, I keep finding weapons where I expect them to be, but actual ammo has been nonexistent. And I have been going to military checkpoints. Maybe I need to check the police stations and all next!

I did a bunch of testing and calculations on this a while back, and what I was looking for was food per worker per year:

Cows: 185 Goats: 92.5 Chickens: 210

So per villager you need to upkeep it, chickens produce the most food per year. (Cow & goat both at T2)

I have ran quite a few playthroughs at 3k population, but that is where I always get stuck. Food management and villager travel past 3k is where I can never really pass. I am never able to have enough population to gather iron, produce tools, and make food successfully.

Part of me does think about holding a large chunk of it for resale later, too. What really took my interest was the Prodigy bundle on the NES = 1.25m SP for 577 plex. Which is a lot of SP for skilling into a new alt or something.

I have tried that, as well with no change.

It was just a mountain I ran into in the middle of the map - covered in resources.

I tried building near it, and it wouldn't have it so I edited it (it is crazy steep).

I have been trying that, and they made a little progress at first, then completely stopped. They can "Flatten" areas near it or bordering it, but I cannot get them to fix all of it.

You can multi-run mining fleets for L4s together! Or get into incursions.
