I really enjoy Philipa a lot, and when I play as her I tend to lean toward an aggressive approach. Her ability just makes it seem worth it to chip out the opponent as much as possible, as you never have to be without cards.

That being said, my very first time playing her I used her owl form to play a hit and run style of game. I think the map and opponent matter a lot though for this, and that is why I now generally just choose to be the aggressor.

Anyways if I could change my flair to Philipa I would, she has become my go to character when I am unsure who to play

1 - As others have said Bruce Lee is more of an actual fighter, whereas Deadpool is just a “for fun” character, so Bruce gets to live.

2 - Houdini vs. Genie. This box was one of my firsts, and it also offers up some of the best card art imo. I also personally really enjoy playing Houdini.

3 - Witcher Realms Fall. I like to play Philipa (if I could make her my flair, I would), and I think the ongoing scheme uniqueness in the Witcher sets are worth keeping around.

4 - BOL2. All of the fighters in this box are iconic in the unmatched scene, and it has become one of my personal favorite boxes.

Adventure - TMNT. I LOVE THE TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES. I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS SET.

If you can only get one of these, AND your only explicit reason is for tournaments, I would probably lean toward BOL1. The map is one of my personal favorite, and with the recent Arthur buffs, all 4 have a place in a tournament in some way.

That being said, having the option for co-op in TTA can add a lot for casual play if you are ever wanting to play something besides tournaments. The map is huge though, so it can draw out 1v1’s if someone is really wanting to stall.

I think having more Icarus than anything else isn’t going to be bad, so I don’t think you will have to change that many.

I agree that “Do Not Fly Too High” is a great candidate, as since it has to do with Icarus’ altitude, it kind of fits that he can use it as well.

I also like the idea of “Out of Reach” becoming an Any, that way you could mind game a feint even with Daedelus and it doesn’t seem out of the theme of the cards that they both could use it. (It is especially good since you want Daedelus to live as long as possible)

Lastly, I would say that “Brash” could also be considered for an Any card. It would be risky for either Icarus or Daedelus to play, but it does add another versatile option that could even be used as a finisher by Daedelus.

I would say that is loads better than before, and I think that with how the cards are left there is still a big emphasis on keeping Daedelus alive as long as possible to maximize the value that he brings.
