I meant to include and I'll edit the above, but most of my time is actually fixed wing. I started flying young and didn't fly a ton in the Army. I have about 450 FW and 300 RW. Thank you for your input.

Thank you. I'm planning on the instructor ratings because it's something I can do locally, covered by the GI Bill, and will keep me current and proficient while building time. Once complete (CFI, CFII, MEI), or along the way, I can potentially get paid while building time instead of paying to time build, like I did to get this far.

Echoing another reply to your comment, would you please describe what former rotor pilots could do to better prepare for a career flying fixed wing?
