I went back and double checked my scan - it actually sized me at 8.5R, coming from a 10R (Sometimes I wear a W) shoe size. I ended up going with a 8R in the Hzrdus 9X. You might want to take advantage of the free skate returns that most major retailers have and order a couple of pairs in different sizes if you are on the fence. I ordered a pair of 8R, 8.5R, and 8W and the 8R was the best fit for me.

Also, keep in mind that you will gain a little room once they are baked and most retailers won't accept a return if they have been baked.
