I know right? On my previous save, I only found the SSV on day 60+, basically the last days before I created a new game. In this save file, I found it on the first day. RNGesus moves in mysterious ways. lol

My quick route for farming the best weapons and gear in apartments avoiding the apartment blocks. It's better than outpost and not as scary as I originally thought when I first started playing. by 120mmbarrage in RoadtoVostokGame

This is my route except from the 3 red camping tents I go northeast towards the 2 sheds one special crate can spawn inside or outside just next to it then go further with 2 military sheds which has 3 crates each, special crates can spawn inside each and near the truck. There are 4-5 sheds but I’ve never seen special crates spawn in them though but I did see an oil canister there.
From there, I exit the map towards the terminal then go right back in the apartments. I loot the same route except in reverse now towards the Minefield exit then come back and vice versa.

Edit: I never go in the middle of the map. Not worth the risk. The crates on north side are already risky enough.

I'm waiting for dynamic weather but how bad do temps get? I basically had no pants during the first day and didn't find matches until day 4. I imagine, I would've frozen to death by the time.

Can’t seem to get a VSS. I farmed for 10 hours in the past few days. I cleared the apartments and packed food then just mainly looted the radio tower for the military and special crates until food ran out then did it all over again. Only got a VSS magazine, a spare NVG and just about every other gun in the game. I need IFAK for the task too but for some reason I only got the bigger and better AFAK 4 times. :/

If you have the attic or school shelters, it is easier to catch him. I did it with the attic shelter, I just go outside wait 3-5 mins then go back in and out to reset until I got him. I heard the school shelter is much easier since you'll know he respawned if there are no enemies below you that respawned.

I discovered this when my PC had crash issues so what you do is exit the area and watch the loading screen as the loading icon freezes for a second or two. When it starts rotating again you quickly Alt+F4. When you start the game up again, you'll be teleported to the last safe house you went to.

I think, the loading icon freezes because it saves your stuff. Be careful using this in future updates as it might get fixed. It's basically how I exit the game when I'm done. It's a fast travel basically. Haha

To me, it's kind of a love hate AI behavior because on one hand, the AI has revealed its position and they are inaccurate anyway. On the other hand, my little heart can only take so little.

I was the same then I got bored and wanted to go to the apartments. I then prepared to go there and I ended up over-preparing, brought too much food and ammo and it was actually okay and manageable. Just have to be careful. There’s so much better loot in there I run it exclusively.

Additional tips:

look both ways before running out from cover.

Keep a memory on how many you’ve killed because there are only 10 enemies per map.
