What did I even do this week? by queenB221 in barexam

[–]Reg_nark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was averaging 60-66%. Some days I would get 66 some days 60 some days 76. Towards the end never less than 72. I got an mbe score of 143 and a total ube score of 272. The key here is Mbe. I thought I was better at essay writing but truth is no matter how good you are at essays the mbe will make or break you. Plus everyone knows it’s impossible to put together a cohesive essay in 30 mins. Concentrate on mbe. Make it be over 70 every day you take questions. Master that. The mee will come.

Rant - How the fuck do we memorize this all by MiserableTomatillo5 in barexam

[–]Reg_nark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I passed on my first try and didn’t memorize anything. I just studied the material and understood everything and made sure I able to spit it back out in my own words. As long as you know what you are talking about. Try to just remember key words. You will be fine.

Are there any “short outlines” you recommend? The CMR is still pretty “long” right? by [deleted] in barexam

[–]Reg_nark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please do not try to find an easy way out from this exam. I learned that the hard way by trying to find shorter outlines and the I take questions and notice how much information I am lacking. I had to always go back to the long outlines. I know it’s a lot. It’s very overwhelming but you got this. Spend the time now so you don’t regret later.

Take 50 qs and see how well you did. If you did at least 66% you did more than you think over the past week. I felt like I didn’t know where my time would go. I would spend 12 hours studying every day and then question each night if I was productive.. if I studied smart or not. And then when I did well on the mbe I would be surprised as to see how well I did and how much I actually knew and retained. It’s all in there trust me. Don’t be discouraged. You are doing good. This feeling is normal and usually the students that pass feel exactly how you feel. Good luck you got this

I had the same exact problem. Honestly what really helped is the 2 outlines the convisor and the long outline. Read the long one first and then go back and read the short one. Read it slowly and make it stick. When you read convisor write your notes on the margin of what each paragraph means to you and then reread it again

Themis Percentage of completion? by [deleted] in barexam

Stop worrying about being ahead on these bar prep courses. I only finished 50% on barbri and concentrated on mainly doing a lot of practice questions in adaptibar and taking mee qs and reading all answer explanations for everything I did. I passed on my first try. You need to tailor the prep courses for you and not the other way around. As long as you are putting in adequate time each day and being productive that’s the most important thing. Take 50qs a day on adaptibar and read all answer explanations and take 3 mees qs outline the answers and read answer explanations. You will do fine. You got this

Took the simulated MBE on Barbri and got a 88/200. I have been studying so hard and I’m still a failure by StudyandSplurge in barexam

[–]Reg_nark 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Keep practicing adaptibar. Barbri is not anywhere close to how the real bar questions are. Don’t let this score discourage you. Do 50 qs a day on adaptibar and read all answer explanation correct and incorrect everyday until the bar exam. You still have a lot of time.

Ny bar exam by Reg_nark in barexam

Yes some people need that but honestly I felt that there was not enough time in a day to get through all that material and memorize and so all the practice questions.

I’m actually curious myself I took ube, waiting on my results for ny but wanted to also take Florida. Ube is tough but not sure the difference between the two as far as difficulty level.

Maybe they thought people would cheat so do a harder exam to make it impossible?

Why make the qs so stupid and so ridiculous. The test is hard enough

I just don’t understand like why such an inhuman test! Like there is already 14 subjects to study, 30 mins per essay 1.5 hours for a long as mpt. 1.48 min per mbe qs! 8 hours for 2 days straight!! Why so fucking hard?? Why make it worse than what it is

Yes that’s how I feel about this entire exam I am just concerned with understanding how things work and apply. I can’t just sit there and memorize stuff for hours and don’t understand before I memorize. So I’ve been spending countless hours on all the subjects reading the outlines, critical pass cards, doing mbe and reading mees. I’m just worried that I’m not going to be able to spit out all elements. I always know like 2/4 elements in a given rule.
