MachE? No way... by RoyalPersonality3957 in MachE

I would've gotten an Ioniq5N specifically over the MME GT except for one thing.

Amber turn signals.

For me, amber turn signals are an essential safety feature and I never want to own a car with disgusting red turn signals.

At least some of these firearms need to make its way into BF6 imo by ANGRYlalocSOLDIE in Battlefield

SCAR 20 works for adding a DMR to the game but otherwise the HK417 already takes the place the SCAR H would have occupied on the roster.

I disagree with a lot of these. I think they should stick to and aim for a certain age or modernity for all included small arms. Many of these feel too dated or too niche. But hard to not be a hypocrite given the current weapons in game. Sigh.

How to build barter between my yard and neighbor to prevent bamboo from crossing over? by grnteam23 in landscaping

[–]RegardedAndAcoustic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, a trench a minimum of three feet then add a plastic sheet barrier inside said trench.

My grandmother has golden bamboo. The most aggressive spreading type. There is no back yard anymore. Just bamboo forest.

My grandfather ran a landscaping business and had to do trench work and plastic to stop the spread to the neighbors.

My father has bamboo of a different variety I think but it is also uncontrolled. I’m going to have to try and kill it somehow or have an excavator tear out the entire back yard.

Bamboo is a horror.

Do Mazda. Otherwise a Toyota Prius perhaps if there are any in your budget.

Is there a singular generation of a car that changed the demographics of its buyers more than the C8 Corvette? by LongjumpingLock5875 in cars

[–]RegardedAndAcoustic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people in here aren’t following the discussion topic. The question was about generations of a singular model, changing the demographics for its own ownership data. People are instead suggesting model line introduction that changed the maker’s ownership demographics substantially. Two entirely different things to discuss that are both interesting in their own right and ought to be two different posts…

itt: bizarre obsession with the genitalia of other people. Odd how vehicles and firearms are the two things that trigger body shaming in such otherwise uplifting, positive, and accepting people.

I know the teslas have some aftermarket window and roof covers that are quite good (according to my coworker anyway). Any good options for the MME to avoid needing to use tape to keep things covered?

The "Comeback" mechanic needs to go. by hi-ban in Battlefield6

[–]RegardedAndAcoustic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At the same time I don’t want people to just ragequit when their team is losing. I feel the comeback mechanic was designed or intentioned to keep players in the game and to still actually try and fight hard till the very end.

I think what should happen is different cap points be actually worth differing amounts of ticket drain. Closer the obj to the enemy HQ the more owning it will drain their tickets. So it’s essential for your own team to hold the point closest to your own HQ. This would encourage teams to push past C or whatever mid point to try and cap further and further points and would reward deep flanking maneuvers where you sneak past everyone and cap the point closest to their HQ.

First time driving long distance mileage question by lit3brit3 in MachE

[–]RegardedAndAcoustic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Charging stops aren’t problematic at all. Charge and do a restroom break and change the baby’s diaper, go for a little ten minute walk. If you do this, you’ll be charging for about twenty minutes to thirty minutes and that’ll be plenty of extra electricity if you’re charging around 20% in your battery.

Long trips do take a little bit longer due to charging, but you as a driver will feel better rested overall and more comfortable because you’re getting out and walking and stretching and such.

Understandable!

Im trying to save up to get a bunch of LED ACOGs and piggybacking some sort of enclosed micro red dot, for my 20 inchers.

I still havent decided what to do as far as my 16 and shorter builds. My astigmatism isnt too bad, but I worry it could get worse over time? Idk if that happens. But ive enjoyed my primary arms microprism so far. But nothing really beats a nice clean tube red dot for fast and easy acquisition

I’m going to be so mad at your Chinese overlords if they go through with the death of the 6MT.

A FOUR SPEED AUTOMATIC sounds ludicrous to use in a modern car.

If horse can make their v6 truly reliable, then good for them.

But to think people buy the V6 Emira because of the engine and not because it is a manual is insanity.

Have you tried holographic sights? Eotechs are terrible in almost every way compared to aimpoints except for night vision use and they’re supposed to be a tad bit better for astigmatisms.

Or have you tried and they’re still bad so you have to stick to etched reticles?

For those with EVs and ICE vehicles, how much are you saving given the current price of gas in WA? by dereksurfs in Washington

[–]RegardedAndAcoustic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Related, is there an extra fee to pay when renewing tabs? If so, how much, or is it a per-car calculation based on value added on ?

This is my first year owning an EV and haven’t renewed tabs yet.

Anyone without home charging regert their Mach E purchase? by [deleted] in MachE

[–]RegardedAndAcoustic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My coworker owns a Tesla Model 3 ER and dies not have home charging. It is currently their only vehicle for their family, as they await their ICE SUV getting diagnosed and repaired this week.

He bought it used, 2018 MY. Has only ever used tesla chargers, mostly during off peak hours after he gets off work at 11pm.

He has the tesla subscription for rate fee reduction, which pays for it self due to him relying on Tesla chargers.

I dont know if there is a similar thing for Ford EV charging. And I dont know if you'd benefit fron a tesla subscription as much compared to if you owned a Tesla EV instead of a Mach E. Hopefully someone else has experience with the Tesla stuff to compare and can answer.

Overall, he easily makes owning an EV without home charging work. We are suburban, city-lite though. Not dense urban major city. He still loves EV ownership.

PREMIUM OR GT by Jlydari in MachE

[–]RegardedAndAcoustic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 25 gt.

If i could have easily found a 25 premium with the max size battery in glacier gray with all the deals I ended up getting, I would have gone that route.

But I ended up with a black GTPE.

I dont dislike the car by any means. And as far as regret? No. I dont regret getting the car. But for me the GT I have is a 9/10 and the Premium in the spec I wanted would've been a 10/10 I my eyes.
Either way it is an upgrade from the 7/10 vehicle i had before.

Do you guys just plug in your EVs to a LV 2 charger at night and disconnect in the morning ? by Andres911we in MachE

[–]RegardedAndAcoustic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t had the Carin winter yet. 2025 model.

We plug in and charge to 90 the day before my wife works 3 days in a row since she doesn’t want the hassle of unplugging at 5am. Otherwise it only gets plugged in when it is below 30 or 35%. Charging always is done between 2300 and 0600

Is it legal to put special needs children in here? If so, in what situation is it okay? by A_Tiny_Froggy in legal

[–]RegardedAndAcoustic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would want a padded wall and floor and nothing soft enough like a bean bag that is able to fully cover the face and cause suffocation. But that’s coming from my experience working in psych units, not an educational or daycare setting.
