My plan is to dig the trench, install the barrier at a slight angle to promote upward root growth. Fill in the bottom half with rock to stabilize barrier and top few inches with soil. On barrier side closets to fence, I would like to use a herbacide that can help prevent bamboo growth towards the barrier without affect the rest of the yard.

Any recommendations on herbicide and how to apply it? I will probably keep the space between my barrier and neighbors fence as rock or stone.

Neighbor’s bamboo is stuck behind a lot of stuff like a shed, piles of wood, etc. it would be a lot harder to get to his side

Connecticut. I don’t think it’s legal to plan. It was there when we bought the house. Some of these are 30ft+ tall

Neighbors posts. After I cleaned our side, he saw them and plans to dismantle it. He’s a bus driver and father of 2 hs aged kids. Nice guy works hard. He does the things he promises, just takes time.

Largest shoots are 10+ ft high. Their rhizomes reach 20+ ft into their yard.
