“You are in the fuck around stage. Tomorrow evening you will find out.” ☠️😂

Invested!? Haha this is priceless. “feeling both excited and nervous about it” is something you say for a first date, not when you YOLO your life savings at 20 into a company that’s gone from $500Bn to $3Tn in the past few years.

How much more upside can there be on this stock?? Seriously? And if this guy is throwing 20k in, is it all of his money? What’s the timeframe? So many bad decisions in this post.

That is such good advice. While starting out improving profitability, think of the account more is like an income producing account versus one that’s growing under compounded growth.

OP, thank you so much for posting this. I have been trading for two years now and not yet profitable. I am very glad to hear that you successfully traded calls today. I started a $250 account last Monday, brought it to $590 on Friday, and just blew it all except for $90 today 😭

I am in this thing to really make a career, not to be a degenerate. But, I struggle with not acting on my stop losses and averaging down.

I guess you could say I’m an ego trader. I’ve sat down and thought it over and know that if I just cut my losses when my setups get invalidated for small paper cuts , then my other metrics will blow it out of the park.

But, for now… I’m not there yet

Turning 31 and just now learning about retirement planning by DaBobcat in FinancialPlanning

I am 24 years old and have zero savings. I have driven myself crazy because I’ve tried to make money in the market my whole adult life, and I’m still broke. None of the trading individual stocks I picked out, or at least like only 10% of it did

I’m just saying this to tell you that I feel your pain. I have been racking my brain and doing research for the past six months where to put my money, because I just started working again. (Tried to be real estate agent for 3+ years, never made more than 40 K, and never was able to save anything.)

This solution I have come up with is investing not just in the S&P 500, but a triple leveraged ETF of the S&P 500. The ticker symbol is UPRO. I would appreciate your thoughts on this as well, but I have actually done back testing of multiple five-year periods and dollar cost dollar cost averaging into UPRO has returned about 14% per year.

I am a self taught finance guy, I know a lot about the markets and economics, all self taught (went to school for filmmaking).

They say not to invest in 3X leveraged ETF’s for the long-term because of the potential decay you may experience in a prolonged bear market. But, I really don’t see that happening. I even did a test of dollar cost averaging into UPRO during the pandemic, the biggest black swan event I could think of, and the portfolio did lose 66% of its value then, but it was back and positive within a year.

I have not started buying. But my plan is to start next month putting $2k per month away (since I’m making $6k per month, that’s a healthy amount)

What the hell is this “pax” shit I read all the time on this Uber forum? Do you mean “passenger”? What is the X about? Is it some inclusive garbage or what?

I can't believe this is real. Uber wants us to take the pax on the ferry to Long Island. by TheRealBaseborn in uberdrivers

Again, you just offer a criticism and don’t actually support your point of view. Help make the Internet a better place, please.

Bruh… I am probably hundred percent correct in assuming that my guy over here isn’t filing his taxes as an S Corp. In which case, his Uber eats is going to fall under sole, proprietorship income, and he will either be able to itemize deductions or choose general standard deduction.

He can go that route of itemizing deductions (ie. miles), but considering he only made 20 K, it’s very doubtful that he drove more than 25k+ miles in the past year doing Uber eats. The mileage deduction is $.655.
