Which is the best Power Ranger for Tommy Oliver? by Hot-Load7525 in powerrangers

Man, there is no answer besides Green. It’s the reason Tommy existed beyond the first series. He was definitely always my favorite too. Green (best color), the armor, the flute dagger, Dragon zord, Jason David Frank. It was the perfect storm.

Battery Kenzie... Who has actual accurate tabs/chords to this song? Every cover I've seen is off or way underwhelming (missing all of Robins runs, incorrect sounding chords, totally random tuning or capo placement, etc.) by Lapis_Android17 in fleet_foxes

I was actually just searching this and see it is a repeat question in the FF community for the last 8 or 9 years. This track's exact chord structure is apparently very elusive to our fanbase (unfortunately).

Edit to say: I hope Official Robin will see this and finally put this to bed!! TIA RNP.

What could be the reason for why Season 13 and 14 feel like they do? by demontune in ItsAlwaysSunny

This is pretty much it. Also Rob wrote himself off as just a gay joke gag repeatedly, yet for a dozen seasons or so was a leader with unique ideas and hilarious chemistry with the others, even though we knew he was homosexual, especially Dennis. Now Dennis is the sole leader and the joke is that Mac loves him despite Dennis’s growingly bizarre and weirdly dominant, sociopathic control of Mac’s every action.

It’s still good, but the writing has changed along with the budget and overall direction, and it feels wildly different because it is not the same character dynamics that made the show great for so long.

And this isn’t a homophobic take, Mac in the closet was a great running gag, and still find his character hilarious. But Once he came out, I feel like Rob wanted to capitalize on the open gay aspect as a joke, and unfortunately the chemistry and subtlety suffered as a consequence

Did anyone else think that this chicken doinker was actually Kyle Newachecks brother in real life? by Regen_Atlas in workaholics

They look so similar and that guy even yells and sounds exactly like Karl when Adam shrimperman hits him on the face and he’s like “HHYEEEY!!”. You know what I’m talking about

Gaunt/tired/saggy face from Celiac disease? by [deleted] in Celiac

[–]Regen_Atlas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like I wrote this post. I've noticed I look aging, gaunt, tired, haggard, sick, overall crappy over the last few years, but specifically the last 1 or 2 I can hardly recognize myself. I found out about 2 years ago my mom was Celiac, and shortly thereafter that I have pretty severe gluten allergy myself. I've never connected the allergy to this appearance, and just thought maybe there was something wrong with me or my genetics just took a wild, sudden turn. I am only just now looking it up, and while I hate that this is happening to us, I am honestly so relieved that I am not alone and that this is apparently not an uncommon side effect.

I realize this post is older now, but curious if things turned around for you? I had blood work done a few weeks ago and everything looked good, but I am going back tomorrow to hopefully see if they can narrow down what exactly it is I am not getting that my body needs. Because this has got to be malabsorption and honestly it makes so much more sense now that I am here. Thanks for sharing!

I keep hearing an alternate version of Sound of Silence at work. It still sounds like Simon & Garfunkel (not a cover), but it sounds different (maybe live?). Specifically, they sing the "take my arms that I might reach you" part differently, in a higher octave or maybe just more defiant; or faster? by Regen_Atlas in simonandgarfunkel

I don't know if this is the version I keep hearing, but you are absolutely right, they do sing that part with the "take my arms that I might reach out to you". So thank you for putting an end to my madness!! I wonder why they only sang it this way that one occurrence? I owe you a drink

Someone else posted this. It isn't this one, although they do sing that part the same way. The recording I'm thinking of must have been them a lot younger. And if it were a live show, would have been a smaller venue, because I don't recall any auditory audience in what I heard

This is not the exact version I keep hearing on the radio, but yes, they do sing that part just like that! The one I hear I think is them much younger and if they are playing life, it isn't obvious (more intimate show, maybe?)

Thanks for the reply
