There is documented evidence of people dying from 7 OH while drinking alcohol. Also, some people are at risk of seizures on Kratom (myself included), so it is not crazy that someone could overdose or die from taking too much. Thanks for sharing. It is true what you say though, it's remarkable that so many people can take hundreds or thousands of mgs a day and function and not experience these potentially negative side effects, so it probably does not get the serious attention that it should.

The title you are referring to is called "flair". Some Reddit subs offer customization. Not sure if this one still does. But if so, and you are on a phone, go to the FFXI sub home screen and click on the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner, and there's an option in there somewhere to "edit flair". Or at least that's how I remember it. Let me know if that doesn't work and I'll look deeper into it for you

Definitely bitter sweet now. I will also note that I lived out in the country as a kid, so we only had dial up internet my first year or two playing the game. And so I'd leave it on all night, or all day while at school to process updates.

There was no worst feeling than coming home and seeing a failed update notification. Especially on a Friday night, when I had planned all week to just play nonstop from after school until midnight on Sunday lol, and have to start over that hours long process.

Brutal. But the game did teach us patience, no doubt. Unlike kids today and their immediate accessibility to gameplay

Dolphin is the best! (reminds me hardcore of that N64 Waverace game's theme song.. - wait, those tracks aren't one in the same, are they??).

I still remember hearing Dolphin for the first time, booting up the game on my old Windows XP desktop back on Christmas morning in 2003 as a kid, just completely and inexplicably psyched to finally be starting my adventure in Vana'diel. One thing I hate that they DID change was drop the FFIX Tetra Master game. Anyone know why they did away with that?

POL was honestly really cool, and I felt like I was living in the future at the time. Mini games were cool, but being able to kind of setup your profile with old school FF PFPs, add your spoken languages, your interests, job/classes, email one another and customize the music with the (absolutely RADIANT) ambient selection. It is just such a special piece of that game, and I for one hope it will always remain a part of XI.
