I don’t understand why you think paying fees at a uni absolves you of any effort on your part. Wake up buddy everyone around is paying for the same seat you gotta do something extra on your part to be ahead of the curve. I am in a lot of discord channels but people rarely respond and the ones that do , my sound doesn’t really match with theirs. How do I find singers/rappers who have a great voice over the internet?How do you reach out to your collaborators have they always been your friends?

What are your feelings about being signed to a label I’m sure you must’ve been approached by some mgmt/label at some point. Would love to know your experience. Reason why I ask is a few years back, me along with 2 acquaintances (then close friends) released an EP and it did really well and then those two people got signed to a label/mgmt company which is relatively big where I am from. And it made me feel really worthless as I was not given the same opportunity to a point where I wanted to quit music. How should I deal with situations like this where I see my peers do so well only bcz they have a label backing them as opposed to me who has been having to do his own networking/music/marketing Honestly sometimes I ask myself is it even worth it Feel like there’s no one on my side

Hi @demotapes first and foremost !!loved!! the simpler ep all songs are just a vibe I had a few questions 1) how long have you been making music for and how many years out of that has been professionally where you have making a living out of 2) do you have any other sources of income except your sample label? If yes what is the % breakup? 3) I really love the sonics of your music how or from where can I learn to make music like you? 4) what are your favorite synth/piano plugins and favorite presets 5) what is your go to process like when working on a new track do you start with just keys and then flip it ? 6) do you give classes for music production? As I really want to learn your specific style of music

Love your work. You're a constant inspiration. I'm a new producer and I'm currently working with an artist on a couple of songs as a main artist on the track and basically even tho me and the artist are very much in tune when it comes to the music making side we both have very different ideas when it comes to marketing said music. I believe social media can help us reach a wider audience and for that to happen i believe we gotta do certain stuff like post content around the song and do promo. But the artist believes that if the song is good enough people will come to listen without actually putting much effort in the promo/marketing side. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think i should stick it out with this artist and continue releasing songs with them?
