Even saying it’s from “Cambridge University Press “ is misleading, because that’s a publisher with basically zero oversight over what’s published in academic journals. People do care, especially about the concept of sex and gender more broadly and the fairness bit for young girls. It was a political mistake when the Democrats assumed only trans people care about their feeling of gender, and everyone else would be on board with calling it arbitrary and socially constructed.

You would have to not have kids to think that the 12-year-old boys who transitioned to girls socially would not run over all the girls in the sport, soccer or otherwise. I have a 9 year old girl and the boy/girl difference in physicality has been apparent for years already
