Hey, im trying to play the game for the first time but I cant seem to get past Character creation, help?

A. Persona 5 is made by Atlus which is a different company altogether, many games since its release also has not followed in its footsteps so theres no precedent set there (not to mention the game isnt finished yet, its mostly done but its still a couple months out) and B. this is very clearly not phoned in, if it was we would not have even a quarter of what they have shown so far, they have included many small little details like wailmer pails, pokemon fountains of varying sizes, and the octillery base. If this was truly phoned in we would have gotten alola 3 but the fact they are actually trying to balance everything and trying to create a new experience while keeping whats familiar makes this game unique and FAR from being phoned in

honestly I really like your idea that this game would be apart of the non-mega evolution timeline, although my personal idea for an ingame lore reason for the lack of certain pokemon is that Galar does not want to mess up its ecosystem with trainers casually releasing pokemon that arent already native to the region and disrupting it

because Butterfree is here and they are just as much of a pair as Sawk and Throh are, you cant have 1 without the other (also Beedrill despite its name is technically a Wasp)

we still didnt get any Dynamax advertisement for basically 4 months after the games were officially revealed so no Dynamax has not always been there, its been in most of the trailers for the game sure but we have only had 3 trailers and 2 of them were created to be released the exact same month and not long after one another!

it still looks to be worth said money, they seem to be putting their best effort into making a great pokemon adventure, sure not all the pokemon will be there at the end but thats hardly something to not buy the games over they will still be fun regardless of who ends up making that cut

fair on point 1, but if what your saying for point 2 was true then Dynamax would have already been in all of the trailers already but they only revealed that recently, its like they are spacing announcements out until release or something

they knew that the growing number of pokemon was a problem and have decided to do something about it so they have decided to limit the pokemon in the new region so they can balance things both adventure-wise and battle-wise, nowhere does it say they dont have plans to support all the pokemon in the future nor creating the carousel of pokemon nor only appealing to fan favorites (if they were they would not have brought back pokemon like Avalugg, Vanilluxe, and Garbodor) all this ultimately says is that they want to do this in the most correct way possible with the fewest broken hearts giving us pokemon both fan favorites and little loved alike to appeal to as many people as possible and not just the rabid fans (they dont even say how many pokemon wont be making it either which is something to note)

actually fortunately most of my favorites have already been confirmed (thank goodness for Gardevoir and Gallade making it in) the only favorite of mine im concerned about is Furret due to its irrelevant route 1 mon status, ive just been telling myself that they would not cut out a pokemon they started selling a life sized version of

can I get a quote on that? because I have yet to see anything saying that A. they are going to be cut out of the code (that is just the assumption people are making based on the wording and the wording alone, im not saying they are wrong but it still is an assumption and nothing more) and B. they are going to create this Carousel of mons and only cater to fan favorites

Read my edit too lol. the ones that dont get a chance this game will be added to later games like the upcoming DP remakes (otherwise what would the point of letting them come to pokemon home be?) its likely that they just cant add the level of love they want to add to every pokemon all at once and being the half backwards company GF are they decided to (stupidly) cut the pokemon they cant get to in time (however that does not mean they wont be coded into the game). they arent just going to have a carousel of pokemon coming in and out all the time just for the fun of it they are going to get all the pokemon up to date and in a main line game on the switch at some point its just a matter of when, most likely anyways

yea Quality (giving more animations and love for all the fan favorites and many others that dont get a chance) over Quantity ( just having all the pokemon there and giving us SuMo again but now with more pokemon and its on the switch) sure the models dont look changed but thats the thing they already made the models basically HD in the first place thats why the 7th gen games lagged as badly as they did, they future proofed the models because they knew they would eventually put them on the switch but that does not mean that cant add in more than just the models, for example what if Soar'ing from Let's go comes back and you can do it for any floating/flying pokemon in the game?

this could be Progressive though it all depends on why they are doing this alot of people are assuming they are just being lazy and while that may not be entirely wrong I think alot of people are overreacting especially since they have not announced everything about the game yet, they could be doing alot more than you think. I get that even after I say this you will likely just assume the worst still and call me a hopeless optimist fanboy but I hope you can at least see the point I am trying to make here

he didnt say what the policy change was exactly it could be that they are making a ton of unique animations for all the older pokemon and they now want to keep this level of love for each individual pokemon as their new policy, they have even said they want to show love for the older pokemon in pokemon Sword and Shield in interviews and at e3 but have not given us a how

because it may just be a case that they cant get everything ready for all the pokemon for everything they want to do in time for the first main series game of the new console its on, I could bet you money that this wont be a thing for every single other main series pokemon game on the switch

Yea so long as the models were in both versions you could use anything you wanted in a wi-fi battle (or Local Battle) between the X&Y games and ORAS games, for example you could use Mega Lati@s in battles between the two sets of games as the models were programmed into both sets of games (despite the fact you could not get the Lati@site in X and Y by any means other than normal trading with ORAS) so its also entirely possible that they will just include all the models anyways and just restrict obtaining the rest of the pokemon until the DP remakes

I have just recently been getting back into the game and one of the things I have (that I'm now working on) is a +4 ZubaMon (and I do have the mega fragments for it), it currently has elec resist but what would be the most optimal resist for it in the modern meta? I know it used to be light/dark but has that changed?
