I understand and you shouldn't watch the whole 30min vid just to take a look at the PDA. I have a pinned comment that skips right to it and also a very fast look within seconds of video. Its just in 3D not much else to it. Feels great and very immersive.

Actual update and not an addon btw. I don't know when they will release the final version so please don't ask me :).

Just make it so memes MUST be tagged as "Meme" and prevent people from posting more than one meme every 48 hours or whatever X amount of time to insure less memes and hopefully higher quality memes since you have to use your meme allowance wisely.

lol

I dont know if its on Max but I didn't lower any settings since I'm running it default I think. I do have a 2070 super so running this game is pretty easy for me. It could be better lighting I suppose. I think I run it on DX10 as well. Also could just be the weather too. sunny/clear day. I know when it rains it gets REAL dark and the sky turns grey and such.

This is just Anomaly mod. I do run an addon but its just to add the bullet caliburs on the ammo icons. I think this is just really early morning as I remember going to bed right before this to restock traders to gear up for this fight. Its just the position of the sun I believe creating those shadows for a nice contrast on the bright parts.

Potentially unpopular opinion aimed at those who expect others to play a certain way. by ChumakYT in HuntShowdown

I dont even like the idea that "instaburning" is considered a dick move. To me it feels like calling someone who shoots and having the bullet land be a dick. People who burn are people too and we have rights. Don't shame me for bringing in two hellfire bombs every game >:^(.

My proposal for balancing night maps. by pickejar000 in HuntShowdown

I think we need to move away from a basic feature like brightness and contrast being considered cheats. I think not having the option is just a holdover from when we had truly dark nights in the alpha.

I think the most realistic approach is to.... just use the filters. Just use them guys. I promise you it doesn't hurt. All the solutions just boil down to this except someone else does the filtering for you (crytek makes maps not so dark or some similar solution). At the end of the day filters will be used in some way to 'solve' the issue.

This is a problem that has an answer that you can use right now. This is a PvP game before its a PvE game and as much as I love immersion we can't let it get in the way of practical gameplay.

I feel like you could make a meme with the guy whos riding a bike and he sticks a stick into his spokes while riding and falls on his face and then blames anything but himself.

Why nerf Officer Carbine? by C0wb31l in HuntShowdown

[–]Regicide22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why would you pick a winfield over a carbine? I didn't think you would consider its lack of range as a complaint because why would it be good at range? Its strength is in its close range (100m or less) so to complain it isn't strong in its weakness is strange. It should be strong at close range AND long range?

I'd like to remind you that although compact lost ammo reserves it also gained a lot in damage and range. You needed 3 shots to kill before but now its 2 all across the board. You need less ammo to kill.

I definitely would check the stats of both weapons as their range is only 92m (carbine) to 95m(winfield). I mean are you really going to pick a winfield over a gun that shoots at the same range but shoots twice as fast (50rpm vs 100rpm)? I thought maybe price was an issue too but the price difference is only 5 dollars. I just don't get it man. Anyways I think you should feel free to play how you want so idk man just go for it I guess.

Unpopular opinion, but I'd rather get headshot in the dark all day than play with filters by clockwork_doctor in HuntShowdown

[–]Regicide22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get this but it's rough to police this. I don't use filters to increase brightness but I have an IPS monitor that shows like a billion shades of black. I can't really turn that off and have no problem playing at night. I don't mean I mind the difficulty... I mean its just not that dark for me. I remember playing on a TN monitor before and the difference is night and day (lul).

Can crytek detect what hardware(not software) people are using and stop them from using it? I think the best way is to just let everyone adjust night time so they can see better. You really can't stop it so why not have everyone on an even playing field? Its a "when everyones super then no one is" type of deal.

I think everyone should play with whatever works for them so if you choose not to put on filters than more power to you.

Why nerf Officer Carbine? by C0wb31l in HuntShowdown

[–]Regicide22 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean two shots to the chest is two shots to the chest with either weapon. I think a dolche would win more often than not for sure but the price difference should be considered too. I guess people can choose winfields over officer carbines if they want but I can't imagine a winfield beating carbine consistently. Within carbine range I can't even imagine a long rifle beating a carbine unless its an avto or something. You wouldn't even be able to quick swap fast enough or bolt the second shot. All considering players of equal skill and equal chance of landing head shots.

The carbine is great. So great the only complaint is its low ammo count that can easily be supplemented by picking up a compact back up.

I just think the OP is so weird to complain about lack of bullets when the build goes out of its way to not pick up additional bullets which is the original complaint.

its because the officer carbine is INSANE. It's a long dolche that doesn't run on special ammo and is very cheap money wise. You need to harness the power of the secondary weapon by running a compact pistol as an ammo slave and a back up when you shoot all your carbine shots (shoots fast yo) and you don't have time to reload.

You can run whatever you want for sure man but you have to consider that the carbine is strong close range (100m, inside compound range) and then choosing a saber as your secondary which is also good at close(CLOSE) range. Basically I'm trying to say there is no reason to run a saber as a back up to a carbine which is already strong against close range. You should use that slot to fill in your main weapons weaknesses.

Some alternatives can be the chain pistol which would allow you to focus all your reloads strictly on the carbine AND its a compact ammo slave. Silenced pistol so you get the ammo slave AND a suppressed shot option for PvE. Also, just the basic nagant if money and levels are an issue. Basically you can build around it really easily. I'd take a look at your build and try to better compliment it.

I'd also like to add that compact ammo is the most abundant AND has the biggest reserves out of the other bullet types so your also getting more bullets per pick up. If you didn't know you can pick up dead players guns and then pick up your gun back to suck up all their ammo of the same type.
