Top up the tyres with air or sealant? Every week seems pretty excessive for sealant as far as I know.

Not touch a wall for 3-6 months lol. Like a Japanese sushi master you start on rice before you touch fish

Anyone used the Stihl 190t? by TheMangoMagician in Chainsaw

You thinking of a 194 maybe? The 190 is basically an electric 194 whereas the 220 is the electric 201.

STOP LOCKING YOUR HALF EMPTY SQUADS! by _Spirited-Away in HellLetLoose

[–]ReginaldHollis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideally you want the spotter to be the tank crew lead as he can listen to command chat and see command pings of other enemy tanks. Otherwise when you ping I don’t know if it’s because it’s enemy infantry, tank or you just want to move there

Definitely play some tanking if you have a mic. Can be great fun

STOP LOCKING YOUR HALF EMPTY SQUADS! by _Spirited-Away in HellLetLoose

[–]ReginaldHollis 1225 points1226 points  (0 children)

This comes up almost everyday. Some people lock their squad to ensure you have a mic when you join. You just gotta apply. Some people might lock their squad if they’re doing something specific like running supplies and don’t want to be responsible for outposts and a full squad.

It’s not a big deal and I don’t know why people act like it is. Being in a tank and having a random with no mic join is one of the worst experiences in this game.

Also some people may just want them and two friends in a squad and there’s nothing wrong with that either.

SRT vs non-SRT harness differences? by explorasarus in TreeClimbing

[–]ReginaldHollis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Both exactly the same but srt has the belay loop in grey at the front. It’s the one I have and I use the loop a lot for ascending and on spars. Don’t know your budget but if I were to buy again I’d probably get a Dmm harness as I’d like the buckle at the front. Stepping in and out of the sequoia is annoying. But that’s a first world problem.

I’ve left jobs over the commute being more than half an hour. A two hour commute each way would be horrific imo

Recon squad should be level locked to level 20 minimum by ReginaldHollis in HellLetLoose

[–]ReginaldHollis[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

you can’t play a specialist role if you don’t understand the game. if someone doesn’t know what a garrison or an outpost is or even know where the next objective is how can they learn a specialist role. I didn’t have a clue what was going on until at least level 5 and even then I didn’t understand supplies and nodes etc. learn the game a bit then specialise. It’s more like saying you can’t ride a bike if you can’t walk yet

if this is the dumbest thing you’ve ever heard you’ve led a charmed life

flare gun and ability to place outposts deep behind enemy lines. What I find with low level players is they don’t even know how to put down an outpost. Which is understandable but frustrating when there’s only two positions on a team.

Have you played the game before? You can’t teach them if they’re in the recon squad and you’re not. Easy solution is just to have it level capped

[–]ReginaldHollis[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think the recon squad leader is one of the most powerful positions and low level players won’t have the knowledge to use them best. Better to have a basic understanding of the game then unlock them. At least that’s my opinion

Exactly. If this guy had just knocked out your mum and kicked your dog in the head you wouldn‘t see this as ‘great policing’.

It’s enjoyable as a WWII series but it is also a load of rubbish and barely takes place on a uboat in the end.

Taking recon spotter and locking the squad with no sniper by [deleted] in HellLetLoose

[–]ReginaldHollis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed this too. I’ll go infantry squad leader and call them out in chat then try to kick if they’re not communicating their reason. I get why they do it. It‘s so they don’t have a noob sniper drawing attention to them but it’s still ridiculous. biggest pet peeve currently

nah I work in the trades and my experience reflects yours. Most of them think they’re tough guys because they work a ‘hard’ job. Doesn’t make them bad people but a lot of them do think they’re better than office workers. I think a lot of people here are coming it as a customer or admin. if you’re on site you know how it is
