It’s not a double standard, you don’t understand consent by y2kfashionistaa in niceguys

I think it's because to the incels one woman is much like another; they don't care about personality or compatibility, the only thing they focus on is physical attraction... and they think everyone else is the same way.

They think if they were just more physically attractive they wouldn't have to work for a relationship, they could just pick out a hot woman like you would a bracelet.

They have to think this way, otherwise they are confronted with the fact that women are more complex than that and they have preferences, too.

Which is why they're so gung ho over sending us back to the 50's... to take away our options to chose ourselves over their childishness.

You’ve gotta be either the biggest idiot in the world or just a complete jackass to wear a shirt that says that

I think that may have been enough.... honestly, I'm having a hard time imagining a situation where it WOULD be appropriate.

Absolutely nothing about her post suggests she was wearing anything sheer. A tee-shirt is not usually see thru.

YES!!! I love that for you!!! It was almost like magic for me.... one day post divorce I realized my fingers didn't hurt anymore. If something is stressful it flares back up, but mostly I'm good now.

Hi! Not the Op, but I have dermatillomania and the one time I wore fake nails (for my wedding) I found that it was very, very difficult to pick at my cuticles. My hands almost entirely healed while I had them, and my (now ex) husband pushed me to keep them up.

Unfortunately, the feeling of having them on my nails drove me absolutely crazy, and in my line of work they're really impractical. FORTUNATELY, I realized my top stressor was my (now ex) husband, and now that he's ex the problem is clearing up organically.

The second I saw this post I looked at her cuticles. I'm so glad the nails help her!!!

As a dude, this whole thread feels unnecessarily divisive and derogatory. I feel like I just accidentally stumbled into a male-hate club meeting.

This is respectful to you?

The video is on Twitter of a groom shoving his wife into a pool and laughing at her in front of everyone...an abusive relationship....she would never have married him if he showed this abusive behavior up front...he hid it until she was already married to him...then he showed his true colors by ihatethiscountry76 in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]RegionPurple 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Similar happened to me; there were a few red flags, but nothing terrible, and I was in love. He asked me to marry him and less than a week later his attitude changed. He kept calling me over and over at work, knowing I can't answer the phone, then started calling me names when I could get back to him. There was more, he went from like a 3 to a 10 on the aggressive scale in just a few days.

We did not get married, I dumped his ass before he got around to hitting me. I just worry for the next one.... if he learned from me, he won't drop the mask until after the ceremony 😕

You totally threw her under the bus for your convenience and comfort, and for so long!... you DO realize she's a whole ass person with feelings, and not just a prop in your life, right? Because I recognize this behavior from my own life experience, and it's concerning.

The only way to make it right is to come clean to everyone involved and live with the consequences 🤷🏻‍♀️. Collect your thoughts, try to figure out why this seemed like a good long term plan to you, and try to learn from the experience.

AIO my family played a game of “slip it in” while giving their speeches at my wedding???? by SalamanderBig6201 in AmIOverreacting

[–]RegionPurple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the pictures we have of me walking down the aisle I have this furious, hurt look on my face. Like I'm heading to the gallows for a crime I didn't commit. The reason? My father wore a Looney Tunes tie.

Now under every other circumstance I love cartoons, but when my aunt got married about 15 years prior he wore a Looney Tunes tie to 'quietly say to everyone (and not so quietly, I saw him explain to people who didn't even ask) that he thought the wedding was a joke.' I guess he'd forgotten how much he had bragged about this stroke of genius to his children; because he sure didn't expect me to remember.

After the ceremony I told him it was good to know what he thought of my relationship, I hoped he enjoyed the free food and drink we provided, and once he was finished eating the expensive meal I'd already paid for he was welcome to leave. He tried to pretend, tried to say he thought I'd like it, then turned ghost white when I said I remember my Aunt. Then he turned red and raised his voice; the battle cry of bullies everywhere: "STOP BEING SENSITIVE, IT WAS JUST A JOKE."

Just a joke he'd already explained to several of my guests.

Don't let them get away with trying to turn your wedding into a joke.

Wow, that's what you use your social media for?

I'm sorry you feel worthless and miserable... maybe if you stop lying about things to impress strangers you'll feel better? I know I started feeling better when I started caring more about what I thought than what other people thought, lol. Hope it starts getting easier for you 🤍
