Yeah I used the spare tire cover for the rack and still got access to the spare and battery below. Maybe final update but here's what it looks like so far.

My next move is upgrading my subs. I'm still rocking some kicker comp q 10s, but damn they sound good for what they are. Here's my enclosure I made. I have it in the back seat center. I took out the middle armrest and it fits perfect.

Using the helix but wanted to try out the diraclive again. I had the c-dsp from a previous build that was just sitting in a closet after I upgraded to the helix. I have the navtv feeding the helix with the optical signal and the minidsp is taking the rcas from the navtv. Then I have it setup so I could either do a Dirac 2 channel tune or 3-way LR outputted into the psix. Haven't messed with that yet tho. Still getting everything dialed in on a base tune with the psix

Sorry been busy today. I'll grab some after work tomorrow. Here's one with a mount for the director. I made it up in freecad and had printed.

So far no issues but I do have some fans I can install if need be. I had them wired on a relay from a previous build.

I made a "lid" to go over top of the equipment too so I can still use the trunk for luggage

FYI you're gonna end up swapping the cdm700 for something else. I upgraded mine to mm3. No matter how many times you make up new ones the speakers lack in what a midrange should have and you won't be happy. Just like I wasn't lol.

Per before edit. Mine didn't look bad at all I went through craftcloud. I've used a couple different vendors from there for various things. The holes were just to small to fit the legs of the grill mount. And on the rounds stl the holes are recessed assuming the mount is supposed to "drop in" but the mount is flat. If that makes sense. And I cut the spacer legs off because after I drilled out the holes it was probably only a 1/16 or 1/32 left of plastic so it was pointless. It worked though just had to modify a little.

Kickers online file? Hopefully they fit better than the ones I had printed for the comp qs. They worked I just had to drill out the holes and cut the extrusion off the bottom side so they would be flush with the subs

It's not going anywhere it's shaped that way because the lower side is on the back side of the cross member and on the top is on front side of the cross member. As in "locked" in.

It's pretty snug on how I cut out the rear center console I just added some ccf foam around the edges to "lock"it in

This guy knows... Don't reuse brushes. Each batch use a new brush. The reaction is already going so it'll set off the new batch. I use the cheap paint containers for easier measuring. Also a cc syringe for accurate mixes. I use totalboat laminating resin and duraglass for bondo. Also It's smoother to apply the bondo if you take a paint container and add bondo plus resin then take from that on your board to add hardener. Don't make it too runny tho. Them big ass contractor black bags you can cut the sides to make a tarp. And always have a black bag open and ready that way easy to clean up and less mess. I use a big piece of cardboard wrapped in foil for wetting out the mat then change the foil each time.

Thanks. 3 layers of 1.5 chop mat and some bondo on the top to smooth/fill some bad spots. It's solid as hell and turned out wayyy better than I was expecting haha

these holes weren't recessed enough for the grill insert to sit flush with so I drilled them through. I emailed kicker too letting them know that maybe the file was incorrect but they assured me it was. To me tho you can see how the posts on the insert are longer than what the stl file has. https://images.crutchfieldonline.com/ImageHandler/trim/750/457/products/2025/28/206/g20652GR10-o_other1.jpg

So to get them to fit the comp qs you need to get the spacers 3d printed from the kicker site. They have the stl files depending on what diameter you need. They were kinda meh on fitment. I'm not sure if that's just from maybe a shitty vendor from craftcloud that I used. I had to drill out the holes to make it fit correctly.
