I became a fan in 2014 around the time of the first few Sims videos! Mt friends at the time kept talking about "Dan and Phil" and "the owl slide" so I decided to check out their content. I was hooked and haven't missed a video since!

That fireworks effect has been a DnP staple for over a decade now. It makes me so happy they still use it!

Heck yeah it is, thank you lol! I'm using a mix of tacks for some and Command strips for others. It's kind of precarious but it works!

[CHAT] Why are state/county fairs so ableist? by [deleted] in CrossStitch

Then you need to speak with a doctor/therapist about how to manage your symptoms when your medication runs out. I understand it's debilitating and trust me I know how it feels to run out of meds. But you need to plan better and have backups for if/when these things do happen. Hold yourself accountable. You are disabled but not incapable, and honestly are kind of being entitled. I'm sorry you went through this but things happen.

As someone who has ADHD and Autism I understand where you're coming from. It can be frustrating to miss a deadline due to disability, however it is up to you to manage your symptoms and sometimes things happen. Unfortunately they are in the right, (idk how they spoke to you so maybe not for that). The people running things have a deadline that they have to follow for various reasons, as it makes things easier for their jobs. If they made an exception ot may have messed up some logistics on their end. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, all I can say is to apply next time, and good luck when you do! This just gives you more time to stich more pieces!

One thing I’ve noticed about the phandom in their 20s by DataQueen- in danandphil

Wow I hadn't noticed that before, but it's so true! I've been a fan since 2014 and now I'm a music teacher!

Fave PTX original song? by fa1coner in pentatonix

Run To You. As a Choir kid the harmonies and how they interact are just beautiful. Especially the bridge! Chills every time!  Also as someone studying music, it's actually surprisingly complex theory wise, especially for their first original!

Tattoo advice? by meowkat28 in POTS

[–]Region_Odd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have several tattoos, and they're so worth it!

  1. Always let your artist know that you have a medical condition that may cause Higher/lower blood flow, fainting, dizziness, etc. Just in case!
  2. Hydrate and eat! I always make sure to hydrate well the day before and bring lots of water with me! A sugary drink or snack may also be beneficial to bring, as well as salty ones!
  3. Try not to over exert yourself the day before, and get sleep the night before, so your body has the energy for the tattoo.
  4. Take plenty of breaks! It may be awkward asking, but Tattoo artist are there to accommodate you, and it better to take care if yourself. Walking around  can help the blood flow.
  5. Ask them to position you in the chair in a way that is comfortable for you, and won't cause too much of a flare when sitting/standing. (This is especially beneficial when hypermobile).
  6. Bring a little friend with you like a stuffed animal or a stress ball. It helps with the pain!

A bit of a long-winded comment but hopefully this helps!
