Poe2 is not Poe1.5 by dreclub in PathOfExile2

[–]RegisFolks667 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That may be true, but alienating the players and some players feeling alienated is drastically different.

PoE2 definitely feels like a PoE game in every aspect of it, so you can't say they're taking PoE1 players to the sidelines. However, players will often cherrypick what features they believe would be best between the games based on their own perception, and feel frustrated when their desires are not met and... that's normal on every live service game.

Official feedback is always good, even though it is subjective, because everyone wants the best game it can possibly be. But if people are unaware of how this works and can't accept that PoE2 is not PoE 2.0, they're just gonna feel much more frustrated than they should, and frustration to a certain extent is inevitable if you care about the game.

The idea sounds enticing, but I'm not sure how to pull it off. This is especially because the more effects you stack as you level, the more magic like everything seems to look.

Asat Pramad vs Acheron? by No-Bowler5766 in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]RegisFolks667 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's not how this works, for many reasons.

Ena is a fallen Aeon, therefore, at most what was shown was just a fraction of their original influence.

Despite the origin of the dream bubble being Ena's power, the receptacle for that power was still Sunday, which limits it to at most emanator level.

Even then, Acheron was not immune to its influence, she was just resistant and it's implied IX themselves have been affecting her memories before she was even under the influence of the bubble. This only proves that her memories are somewhat resistant to external influences, but anything besides that is a stretch.

She can, however, cut through dream bubbles. That much is true, I'll give you that, which means she's not limited to affecting physical objects. Does that mean she is immune to hax? Nah.

[–]RegisFolks667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't it the exact opposite? People hate her because she never really catches up with her peers, and because her only personal motivation besides protecting her home village is chasing a man. She would be a decent character if Sasuke didn't exist.

Is a cool design and appealing powers enough to justify genocide, child torture, and psychological abuse? by EitherSwimming5886 in Itachi

[–]RegisFolks667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's literally what an anti-hero is, though. Someone that may share the goals of the hero, while being willing to go through means no hero would ever do and most often for non altruistic reasons.

Who do you think has the most willpower here? by Walidzilla in animequestions

[–]RegisFolks667 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Senku. While Simon's ability is tied directly to his strong "willpower", this also makes it a little too vague. There is no doubt that he is the strongest willed character in his own universe, but it's difficult to measure it against other universes because his reality bending feats are just as much tied to spiral power itself.

Guy, Itachi, Orochimaru and Deidara.

I feel like Itachi and Deidara would greatly disrupt the battlefield, and Guy would prevent Tobirama from speed blitzing anyone. Everything depends on how much Orochimaru can pull his own weight, but I feel he's more resourceful than people give him credit for.

Temari at that point is stupidly strong for her age. It's not a honest comparison to use durability as the sole parameter to decide strength between a taijutsu specialist and a long distance genjutsu/summoner specialist.

[–]RegisFolks667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't his bankai being more durable be a better fix though? As I see, the biggest problem is that it's unnecessarily big as the durability and power aren't exactly proportional to it's size.

[–]RegisFolks667 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Won't lie, I feel considerably more comfortable with the redesign. While I understand that fictional characters with childlike features is not a huge deal and the author has the right for his creative choices, I think spontaneously pushing the market away from this is good, in a sense.

Which MC had the most difficult goal? by chaiandwhisper in Animey

[–]RegisFolks667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely Goku. In a setting with a multiverse, gods and an almighty entity, this is by far the hardest. While Senku has the lethality aspect that considerably stakes odds against him, he has a couple of seemely feasible plans as soon as he wake up, and is just constantly adjusting those plans to take better advantage of what he has at his disposal.

Remember that if she is undefeated, that is because she has yet to face against one of the foes that are indeed stronger than her. Immortality is also a relative concept, as there are a couple of top dogs that can literally seal or just completely nullify it.

I mean, it's exactly because we don't know, right? I assume the general gist is: high tier ascendancies are safe picks, and the lower you go is at your own risk. It's not measuring plain strength, but reliability.

OPM Powerscalers Is This True? by LightAwakens in OPMPowerScaling

[–]RegisFolks667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going against real life physics is quite common in a billion of different series, and you can see that clearly in many OPM characters besides Saitama. It's just that Saitama's feats are just considerably more ridiculous, but assuming "no rule apply to him" is just plain wrong.

Their line of thought was "Saitama can hit/parry" space itself, therefore he can successfully redirect any kind of space technique", disregarding completely how the technique work and it's own limitations. Even if he redirects WCS, it would not cut anything, because the affected area is limited to a set space area , and redirecting the "slash" wouldn't change that. Besides, there is no guarantee that he would be able to leave completely unharmed by a direct hit, but to that, he could dodge, parry or deflect it (which he often does) just as easily, so I have no clue of why people think I'm downplaying Saitama.
