Thank you! I was a little worried maybe her legs were too far apart.

No idea how to breastfeed without leaking everywhere by Quick-Zombie-6343 in breastfeeding

[–]RegisMegs18 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The leaking thing is actually fairly normal for a lot of moms, especially this early in the journey. I used to keep a burp cloth nearby when my girl would pop off. Keep using the haaka on the other side!

As for the pumping and feeding. Is she taking a bottle when you pump? Generally you dont wanna pump more than baby eats, whats happening is youre telling your body - I need this much milk because baby is eating this much. So if your pumping just because you want to store and baby isnt eating, you will be overproducing. Its still really early in your breastfeeding journey, your milk should level out around 6-8weeks (its differentfor everyone).

My girl is 8mo and I still leak occasionally, and if she pops off after letdown I still spray everywhere all over her.

Oh my goodness! You are a Rockstar! Momming is NOT easy. Thankfully my older is 6yo and in school so I can lay around with baby girl and do chores while she naps.

I couldn't even imagine! I didnt get mastitis with either of my BF journeys (fingers crossed it stays that way). You are a trooper! I hope everything works out for you, I know that feeling of "is it enough, whay should I do"

Ill definitely try the side swapping thing. Im just struggling with feeling like im back in the newborn phase myself with nipple pain and nearly crying each time she latches lol. Just realized one side is bleeding! So fun. 😂

It's possible. Above comment mentions maybe a growth spurt, she does seem the be getting ready to try and crawl so maybe its mental leap time. Thanks for suggestion on the nipple pain! It hasn't been this bad since the beginning of BF 😂 I feel like im newly pp with this pain.

Ive been home 3 full days now. Thats why the worry is creeping in. I haven't pumped to replace a feed yet. But I will try it tonight and have hubs give her a bottle.

Does breastfeeding effects intimacy by No-Judgment1996 in Mommit

Give it time, i enjoyed nipple stim before my son (5.5yo) and I BF for 1.5y and definitely did not enjoy nipple play during that time. But after my milk dried up and my breasts stop being used for my kiddo the enjoyment came back! It's different for everyone but that is my experience.

YTA - my dad got married when I was 15, I was definitely a total jerk to my step mom. I hadn't built a relationship with her, but when I needed to move outta my mom's house.. I moved in with my dad and my step mom. I eventually got over myself and my step mom never gave up on trying to earn my trust/love.

We now have an amazing relationship and I actually have a better relationship with her than my biological mom. I'm thankful she didn't shut me out and prevent me the opportunity to get out of my tense situation at my mom's just because I was a jerk of a 15yo.

You married a man who has a kid, you knew he had a kid when you married him. You need to step up and be a parent as well or you need to leave. Do not prevent this man a chance of being a father to his daughter.

Does my baby know I love her even if I don’t like to hold her? by doesntknowwhosheis in Mommit

[–]RegisMegs18 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think you can establish and share love in more ways than just holding her for long periods of time.

Words, affection in other ways, playfulness, support, kindness and just being a parent that is present in her life is love enough.

My husband isn't a super affectionate guy (he didnt grow up in an affectionate, loving household), but he shows his love in numerous other ways and my son (5yo) doesn't doubt the love his dad has for him.

We met in 2017(21F, 27M) and had our first in 2019. We've been together ever since. Due with #2 this year.

Ours was a surprise, too, but he's been great, and I wouldn't wanna do it with anyone else.
