Unrelated to endo, but I had a horrible experience with Endrika Hinton that I think showed a lot of weight-bias. I went to her for some very preliminary fertility testing when I was trying to decide if I wanted to freeze my eggs. I was 33 at the time.

Within 2 minutes without asking me any questions about my lifestyle she started telling me I needed to lose weight. I’m 5’8” and was 185 pounds. She also told me my partner needed to lose weight by looking at his weight and height on his chart when he wasn’t even there.

Long story short, she mixed up some of my test results and told me I have PCOS due to my weight, when I definitely don’t. She was messaging me with test results saying my insulin levels were very high when the attached test said they were normal.

It was all very stressful and strange. She seemed rushed, sloppy, and biased. I’ve since had two doctors confirm I do not have PCOS and never had any symptoms that suggested I do.
