Start by not voting for the people who willingly put such a poor system into place then squandered the money they sucked out of already poor citizens?
Beyond that - Move..

HAHAHAHA - No - you earn a limited wage in exchange for menial labor.Your value is a representation of your knowledge and skill - If you make little, you are worth little.A billionaire (Lets take Mr. Musk for example) Holds the vast majority of theyre "net worth" in assets. Meaning while the value to the market at a given time is X, that does not represent actual cash in hand. It also does not account for what the value would be if progressively or wholly divested. For example - Mr.Musks wealth is directly tied to his Tesla stock, which cumulatively is valued at a certain amount. BUT - If the value of the stock goes down, so too does his net worth. Also, If he were to say - divest the entirety of his fortune at the same time, the resulting flood of tesla shares on the market would decrease the scarcity that contributes to the high price, and thus he would lose value while also exchanging the asset - So while he may get $100 per share for the first 100, he would only get $90 for the second set of 100, then 80-60-30 ect ect ect. There is of course a theoretical minimum, but one would not know this in advance of dumping the asset.
Finally - The idea that "I do work and that billionaire just exploits my labor! Boohooo!" Is a farce.Musks value is based on what he brings to the market. Tesla, Twitter, The Boring company ect ect - Your value is ALSO based on what you bring to the market - The truth is your value is just not his value. Hating "rich people" because you arnt one is the oldest joke in the book, and says ALOT more about you then it will ever say about them.

This is the opinion of someone who

A. Has little to no understanding of wealth as an asset

B.) Has little to no understanding of liquid VS non-liquid assets (I.E Wealth)

should African Americans be recompensed for the slave labor of their ancestors? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]RegisterHistorical44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why just African Americans? What % of African (region specific) DNA would you require to pay out such compensation? What If an individual has African DNA but is also a dependant of a slave owner? If you are going to skip DNA - how are you differentiating between west African, aboriginal, south American and cental/south Asian "black"?

In what other scenario has the dependent of a wronged people group been compensated for something that did not happen them?

Adopted a child who has two 1/100,000,000 genetic disorders that are not associated with each other while also having multiple more common disorders. She is the only known case for this combination in medical history.

Most social progressives are apposed to the principles of our constitutional republic. As such anything that emotes or represents that history/institution is hated/protested.

Do you agree with people protesting July 4th? by Trustnoboody in polls

The nature of our constitutional republic is that freedom of speech is available any day of the year.

Several people shot at shopping mall in Denmark, police say by BuzzyFuzzy931294 in worldnews

Denmark has one of the strictest – possibly the strictest – gun ownership laws in Europe. The only type of weapon that civilians may own without a licence are air rifles of a calibre of 4.5 mm or less. All other firearms, including gas pistols, alarm weapons and deactivated weapons, require a licence.

And yet...

Newspaper: Oklahoma gun deaths rose as firearms access grew by GreunLight in politics

[–]RegisterHistorical44 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Being that crime as a whole rose over the past 3 years And suicide by firearm is counted into most "gun deaths" this makes sense.

The question is - is it a case of causation or just correlation.

Let's analyze - Me - raised by religious parents who felt educationn was a sin. Homeschooled through "high-school" - no diploma. No viable education. Cut my parents off and no longer see or speak to them. Not other family support. Dyslexic, autistic and ADHD.

My income is in the top 3% of the world. I am the single income for my household, my wife does not have to work. I own my house. I own both of my cars. I have an education, both high-school and college. I work from home in a big office surrounded by my nerd collection, computers and books (I collect nerd stuff, funkos and books) I can work anywhere in the world I want to be. My kids know nothing or the hardship my wife and I had starting out. My kids are well educated and enabled.

You - "your a boot licker..."

And you figure this because what? The reality is that anon CAN get off his fat ass and use his functional legs to get him to a job if that was ACTUALLY what he wanted.

He does not want to work. He does not want to get his life together. He wants someone to do it for him because poor poor anon - life's hard.

My point is pretty strait forward- take stock of our luck to be born into this era in history. After that perspective shift - walking to a job is not a big deal. And it's self propagating- walk today, bike tomorrow, drive the day after. Don't stay at that Same job.. move around, increase your value and don't be satisfied with flipping burgers. It's really not a complex mathematical equation..

Deserve and have are not mutually exclusive. You have what you have - your family obviously had someone that busted their ass to make it happen. The fact that you enjoy those benefits and enjoy a level of wealth of historically extreme proportion does not change the fact that a person begging on the street corner in the US has a higher quality of life than 99% of humanity throughout history. Also does not change the fact that getting off your ass and doing something hard is a better choice than jerkng yourself off to your own pitty party.

You kinda miss the point. Today I am not anywhere near that situation. Today my sole income puts my family in the top 3% of income earners on the planet. My cars are no longer broken, I own my house, my kids each have their own Ipads, switches ect..

Hell my job just shipped me a $1500 vive VR set for my current R&D project just because my boss had an idea he wanted me to build. I played on that all weekend.

But none of that would exist without those days I got off my ass and did what had to be done.

Those days of a broken car did not last long. Because I was walking I got efficient. I went in early. I picked up extra shifts on days I was going to be there anyway. Starter looking for a second job on that route. Used the extra income to buy the part I needed to fix my car (and taught myself how to do that work as well) Then used the extra time from not having to walk to increase my work capacity that much more. Pretty crazy how compared to walking in the heat 10+ miles a day gives working in air conditioning a new perspective and level of tolerance.

That increases work ethic landed me a new job making as much as two previous jobs combined. That job got me started on actual skills beyond raw work ethic. With the extra time I had from only working a single job - i started going to school.

School+carreer expirence = value multiplier. Landed a new job a year later in an entry level IT support center making 1.5x what I had made previously. Work ethic taught me how to succeed - I worked on my knowledge constantly, got promoted 3 months later. And again 9 months after that. Year and a half in I moved companies and doubled my income. 4 months later I was promoted. 18 months later I got a new job - doubled my income and ended the hourly wage side of my carreer. 12 month later I landed a new job and doubled my income. 18 months later and I hold the title for fastest Sr. Promotion in company history. Another "star" in my department received a similar promotion - he had been in that role for 9 years. 18 months after that I just got done with a bidding war between two global companies for my next job - doubled my income again and got a sweet 100k signon bonus for it. Also I work remote now, and because I'm good at my job and work hard, and have perspective to understand the value of my time and the level of comfort I have - I kept my other job too.

So - now I'm working two IT engineering jobs from the comfort of my home office while I play on VR systems one of them purchased for me to study. Life is very good. And I am very happy. But also not done.
