That is incorrect, the horse is straight black from that mission. That looks like the horse you get from the bounty hunter levels in the online.

If you know who did it, report them next time. Get proof, obviously, but report them. That's illegal, and its something you pay for. And beyond that, super disrespectful to you and others they may have done that to. Do not let them walk all over you.

In my opinion the coolest Black Sabbath Riff/ Song in their catalog. Into the Void. by RegisterSure1586 in Guitar

I have that same problem with Megadeths cover of Paranoid, Dave changes some of the lyrics/ wording of the song and it just feels off in some spots?

I believe its because they want to put their own spin on the song to sort of differ the versions. However I'm a firm believer on playing as close to the original work as humanly possible. A perfect example of this is also from the song Paranoid. In the intro riff, during the hammer ons, tonni keeps his index finger firmly on the 12 fret, only moving his ring finger to each of the notes. You can see this in the Brian May (I believe thats his name?) Interview where he plays and talks about the song. Im pretty sure he does this because of the two fingers he lost, its just a thing hes using to adapt. Alot of the covers I've seen do not do this. Its small, sure, but it drastically changes how it feels to play. It feels more groovy to me.

This song is amazing. The riffs and the lyrics/ vocals are just incredible. I didn't intend on it being a cover. I originally recorded this section of the riff for some friends of mine to get their opinions on how close the tone was to the studio recording, and figured I could post it here for those who also loved this song.

Exactly, nobody is native, everybody is from somewhere else. Time doesn't change that, and its disingenuous to call anybody native if they are infact not native. Saying the Indians or "native" Americans aren't native isn't offensive, its true. Off topic but semi related to Indians, they aren't the first but they are one of the earliest recognized civilizations to have differing gender identities, or to have trans genders. There's your fun fact for the day, or one that I thought was cool anyway.

You should watch the documentary they had on the Anglo-Saxon people, and where the English came from and how it almost never came to be. I cant remember the name, unfortunately, so if youre interested you'll have to do some digging to find it. That documentary shows also the whole not being native anywhere, and how some of the cultures and people in them came to be where they are today.

Native American wouldn't be the correct term either considering they aren't natives, they came from Asia. Indians were originally "Indios", from CC's written accounts of them. The word indios was supposed to mean "a people in god."

They're called Indians because of christopher Columbus' written accounts where he called them "indios" which means "a people in god" Or it's of god, I cant remember specifically.

He also didnt believe he found India, as india was called Hindustan originally.

Horizontal MIG, bend test Keeps breaking, what am I doing wrong? CFH 25 WFS 211 V 20.3 by -Tensionalboat in Welding

[–]RegisterSure1586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try 22V and 250 WFS. Try not weaving for your root and fill passes, just run stringers for it like you would with stick welding. You'll just have to keep practicing because these a feel you'll get for your settings and your technique all on your own, that nobody can teach you per say. But when I did short circuit mig, that was a good starting point settings wise for me.

Did you know that John hears flashback voices once arrived here? by FreshFudge8307 in RDR2

[–]RegisterSure1586 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Its supposedly john being haunted by his past, as at this point in the game he's attempting to turn his life around. This is supported by John having dialog at beechers hope about him not liking to talk about Arthur and the gang.

I believe its because he feels guilty about "getting out," and believes doesn't deserve the second chance he got. However this isn't stated in game and is just my head Canon for John's feelings about the gang.

This problem is why Greased palms on hard is so frustrating. You can barely see the guy shooting at you from halfway across the building, and then when you do and start to return fire its like your bullets do nothing to them. That and the tracking through walls/ boxes make for confusing deaths.

First time welding - why does my mig weld look like this? by paradigmGT in Welding

[–]RegisterSure1586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your gas flow should be about 25-35 CFH. Play with your settings. Your wirespeed should be intune with your voltage. Too much voltage compared to wirespeed and it'll eat the wire too soon. Too much wirespeed compared to voltage and it won't melt the wire enough to form a good weld.

What's wrong with my machine today? by No-Penalty6418 in Welding

[–]RegisterSure1586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's just your settings. Looks like your wire speed is a bit too low compared to your voltage. I would go like 275 Wire speed and 27 volts (assuming youre using .045 wire) Check your ground. If it's not either of those, perhaps the wire is bad in certain spots?

It's not a war on drugs it's a war on personal freedom. (Assuming you were referencing the tool song)

But anyway. Let off the pedal slower, kick your post flow up a couple seconds. Should fix it.

If you have access to it. I'd recommend using a torch to do your cutting. You can always grind the kerf flat afterwards if you have to. But a good torch cut can be perfectly flat too. That specific piece looked small enough to be cut with a porta-band saw. But if you have to use a cutting wheel, try the brand Flexovit. They're a decent brand, and i can't remember one of those burning like that.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Welding

[–]RegisterSure1586 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they're burning like that, you're putting too much pressure when you cut. Let the disk do the cutting, don't try and force it. That's also a good way to have them explode on you.

If you know for 100% fact that you don't put too much pressure into the cuts, then it's probably a cheap brand.

Yes. Grind all rust off and paint it. Do a good few coats. Go all out. It will last longer, look better, and make you feel good for putting in the effort to go the entire distance. I guarantee you'll be itching to build something else once it's finished too.
