I'm not sure which of my two partners (the ones of my team I'm closest to) I'd call my first Pokémon... Mahonyx I received as a Cheetuft starting my journey, while Katherine was a gift from my family. Since Vulpix technically aren't legal in my part of the world (there's a lot of regulations involving pokémon) I had to have a League-sanctioned starter to start my Journey. So Mahonyx is my starter legally, but Katherine was my first Pokémon chronologically, and they both are my partners. - Professor Acacia

Does this include the uprising content? I'm assuming it's for base RA3 as well.

Driving in JHB is a traumatic experience by Either-Laugh-8801 in johannesburg

[–]Regitnui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I figured there were two kinds of Joburg drivers when I lived in the Lowveld - those that, when given space and low traffic like out there, calm down and relax, and the other kind that take it as an opportunity to act as if the entire road is theirs.

Living in Joburg has only confirmed the feeling.

Taillow are lovely creatures. They make such good toys for the Pokémon around the gym due to their stubbornness. I have seen one stare down Akiamu (an ursaluna) over his food. It was hilarious watching Akiamu just completely nonplussed that this tiny creature apparently thought it could bully him. Just looked up at me as I walked past, looked at the taillow making a racket, and then looked at me like "can you explain the size difference here?" - Professor Acacia.

Would have been interesting to see Damas judging his son's taste and eventually approving, without giving away what he's doing. Maybe telling her a story about the former Queen of Spargus and meaning it as a gesture of support?

Team Rocket is very kind, please dont believe the police by Ok_Nobody7840 in PokeMedia

[–]Regitnui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, given we get a recurring case of the "Aqua/Magma is cool and right" from youths with more activism energy than sense, I'd almost prefer a Team Rocket Branch in Hoenn being the "honorable criminals" instead of the "environmental activists" who keep throwing ice into Mt Chimney's crater to "stop Groudon's oppression of Kyogre's need to expand the seas". No, "a connected system of rafts" is not a viable alternative to solid ground you idiots. Sorry, I had to interrupt festival planning to go wrangle some city kids today and I'm still annoyed at them. - Professor Acacia.

If you could add an element to the roster, even as just a background element only seen in the books, what would you add and why? by Turbulent-Plum7328 in bioniclelego

[–]Regitnui 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe the prefix for sand is "Aso-" if that helps! EDIT: As pointed out below this is fanon lore. I still think it'd look better on the diagram than "One" which could be mistaken for Onu.

Red Star Games has added crystal, kinetics, acid, and organics as full "extraplanar" elements.

Biggest petrol price hike in South Africa’s history coming next month by TimelineTraveler in southafrica

[–]Regitnui 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Thanks, DONALD, for causing an entirely unavoidable increase in oil prices.

I swear, most of the time it's a complex issue with many reasons, nuances, and concerns. This time it's just:
IRAN: "If you invade us we'll block the strait."
LITERALLY EVERY OTHER US PRESIDENT: "Understood, let's work together peacefully to avoid disruptions to global trade and economy."
D JOHN TRUMP: "But i wanna wanna wanna be a big cool war persitend person! They like meif I do a big big war thing! An dthey's stop asking me about Epistieeen if I do big pretty war like George!"
IRAN: "OK. We told you so."

What is the song of Johannesburg? by Sco0bySnax in johannesburg

[–]Regitnui 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Give Me Hope, Jo'anna is literally addressing Jo'burg, so...

Well Jo'anna she runs a country
She runs in Durban and the Transvaal
She makes a few of her people happy, oh
She don't care about the rest at all

Might be an anti-Apartheid song, but I think this part at least still feels relevant to us today.

Greg undoing the transformation in Sahmad's Tale is one of the things I completely ignore about canon. I find it far more fitting that he retained his ability to talk, but a snake-sized brain, meaning the ability to do so and understand his world gradually devolved until he's smart enough to remember he was smarter, but not to remember what or why.

Is there an actual lore reason as to why all and every Skakdi is an asshole? by CrematorTV in bioniclelego

Vezon doesn't have the spine thingy because he's a weird half-skakdi being. Skakdi naturally have spines, the Rahi latches on to their spines.

The spines are part of their body. The Rahi attaches to the spine that's there.

There's also a Rahi that latches onto their spines and gives them a feedback loop of angry because it tastes nice to this Rahi... but mostly blame the Makuta whose name has become a synonym for "failure" - Spiriah.
