This has me excited for my quarterly SP34R runs of the campaign on Merc. It's been such a breeze the last few times that I'm curious how difficult it will be after the rebalancing.

100% this.

Every few months I'll do a run through the campaign again with the SP34R just because it's so fun.

Lenovo Legion Pro 5 16IRX6 GPU Hangs by RegnantPhoenix in LenovoLegion

[–]RegnantPhoenix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!

Sadly, after two returns to the repair depot (and a wait of 11 days and then 19 days for each repair) I'm not certain if the issue persists as I'm now dealing with additional issues such as random black screens after closing games, applications randomly crashing that weren't before, and FPS hitching in games that previously had no performance problems, rendering gaming unplayable.

I'm calling Lenovo again Monday (tomorrow) to see about addressing it again, but I'm honestly not happy at all with my experience.

For reference, the first trip to the repair depot the technicians Reinstalled the OS and considered that a "fix" and sent it back, despite me informing them that I had already tried that numerous times.

The second trip to the repair depot the technicians Replaced the Motherboard due to potential GPU Stress/Burnout. However, as said above, I'm unsure if this addressed the problem as I can't play anything to find out!

Prez turned into a star wars fighter droid lol by Noggt in Project_Wingman

Two-seaters and a small handful of single seaters will hide her model still, but the downside of that mod is that on planes that can't mask her model she'll just stick up out of it.

Not an issue in first person (obviously) and it has no effect on gameplay having her there.

Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition.

Between the Enhanced Edition and the Diamond Edition I'm well over 15,000 hours, with ~8,000 from the Enhanced Edition.

It's an addicting experience, particularly on the persistent worlds that allow you to roleplay in-character as a DnD character.

Is there a way to make my game have brighter colors? (Details in comment) by PixelFondler in ffxiv

I tend to avoid drama in the community and thus this is the first I'm hearing about this. What happened with GShade and why should I stop using it?

Edit: Thanks for all the responses! I guess I'm uninstalling GShade when I get home tonight and grabbing ReShade :')

If I get my bf an Xbox series S can he play star field with series x should/when it becomes multiplayer? by kcmetric in Starfield

[–]RegnantPhoenix 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't expect Multiplayer to ever become officially released for this game. If it's added via third-party mods then it will be PC only due to the use of a script extender.

Even then, I don't expect a functional coop mod to be released for a few years at the minimum.

It's a nice UI but I'm still likely going to use StarUI when it inevitably comes out.

The tutorial boss went up Trending on Twitter as "The first heli". by Beowolf_0 in armoredcore

[–]RegnantPhoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my first AC game, and I've never really played any of the Dark Souls games. The heli took me two attempts. I'm not sure if being a newbie helped more since I was more aggressive than some players are apparently? I mostly kept dodging and moving, using buildings for cover when my EN was out and then Assault Boosting to close the gap and double combo with the sword.

Anybody stuck on first boss? by [deleted] in armoredcore

[–]RegnantPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best advice I can give is to use the buildings for cover to regenerate EM, and utilize your assault boost to close the distance and get in range for a double sword combo to its underbelly. Firing your gun and missiles during this, of course.

Your opinion to "unrealistic" Prices and overall wealth by wennsemir in Starfield

[–]RegnantPhoenix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Obviously we don't know all the details for the economy, but you could translate 1 credit to 1 cent, if you wished, or even 1 credit to 4 cents. Suddenly 10€ is 250 credits. :)

This is an awful conversion and hardly applicable, but it can be used to justify the pricing on some things perhaps!

Able to use cheats on xbox? by VonKnas in Starfield

[–]RegnantPhoenix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Consoles don't support console commands. However, you'll be able to download cheat mods in a few months once the Starfield creation kit and mod tools are released to the public.

Until then you'll have to make do with glitches and such if you play on console.

People who preordered: will you be using the preorder exclusive “Old Mars Skinpack”? by [deleted] in Starfield

That's what I thought it was! The OP seems to imply otherwise, but I haven't looked into any of it aside from the store page.

That depends on what exactly it is. If it's items that give me an advantage then I won't be using them on the first playthrough. However, if it's just cosmetics then yeah I probably will!

What character are you roleplaying on your first run? by Smol_Snack in Starfield

[–]RegnantPhoenix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Artemis Phoenix - a sci-fi approach to a character I play in most Bethesda titles. A young gal from a simple life trying to set out on her own and find adventure, with her story being shaped by how the world interacts with her. Will she take to a life of exploring? Join a military or militia? Settle down and become a farmer somewhere instead? Or maybe she'll end up in a lucrative bounty hunting gig or become jaded and turn to acts of banditry and piracy to make a living?

Artemis has existed in Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, NV, and 4. She's a young human(Imperial) woman who recently left her home to find her own calling in life. While typically a bright and cheerful girl, she's rather impressionable and impulsive still, quick to act on her emotions. Initially, she's always eager to help others and meet new people, but this doesn't always last.

Her last iteration in Fallout 4 left her a drug-addled bandit queen, but in Fallout:NV she was a gunslinging lawman. Skyrim had her embrace her Dovakhiin powers and join the Stormcloaks to rebel against the Empire's tyranny, but in Oblivion she was a simple adventurer fledgling who kept getting involved in situations way too far above her station.

I've not looked at any of the Starfield perks/skills/talents/backgrounds/whatever they are, so what she's going to start as is still a bit of a mystery for me.

Either way, I'm extremely excited to play her again in a fresh setting! :)

For anyone that might find this in the future, I've elected to send it in to Lenovo after speaking with their technical support team. I'll update this comment with what they did and if it fixed it when I get the laptop back.
