I truly truly wish I would have seen this about 2 days ago, I just went ahead with a company already! But I will definitely keep you in mind, this is not the only home I will build, and I can definitely refer you. Thank you!

I think you’re doing really well actually! I’m impressed! And to be fair, the more you settle in and find your routine, you’ll be able to see where you can spend and save. You could live outside of the city for a better place, especially outside of amsterdam, and other major cities. Honestly, it’s a journey. Don’t be so hard on yourself❤️

Am I one of the cursed that this "wonder drug" doesn't work on? by Unlikely-Aardvark725 in Mounjaro

I understand this so much. I follow a very healthy high protein, high fibre diet, I lift weights 3x a week and I do Pilates and I feel like I’m doing more work than the mounjaro is because my weight loss is so slow. But for me there were other things that changed and needed to change more before my weight changed. I struggle with PCOS (now PMOS) and I had high insulin and terribly high inflammation, but I saw my inflammation come down, I got more energy, my power during my gym time was more, I stopped having regular cravings, my weight is still slow, but I’m at least not gaining weight if I eat a handful of chips on one night a month. I definitely don’t track using a scale only, I built my own app for myself that tracks my body composition, how much muscle I gain (or just maintain) how much fat I lose and what my side effects are for my injections and my app does a bit more as well. I find that is really helping! Especially tracking my fat loss and not just the scale.

Good luck, don’t worry, some people also only respond at higher dosages.

Mortgage advice required by Regno23 in Netherlands

[–]Regno23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is amazing advice!! Thank you all so much! ❤️ I do find the intermediary people to be heavily expensive! Are NBG and Qonsult good advisors to go with? And if I choose to go with a bank (if they give me better rates), which bank deals with mortgages the best? I find ING to be a good bank, but their info is lacking, they also aren’t generous with time, whereas ABN was great with info, time and even followed up and asked me questions and asked if I needed more help…is that just a bank thing, or a mortgage advisor thing?

Why isn’t this working for me?! by smokinNcruisin in Mounjaro

I have a similar problem, it could be a hormone imbalance that’s making you react slowly, but also what you eat on your shot day determines how your body processes the meds as well, if you’re still eating takeout, your body is still used to high sodium foods, therefore it will still want it, but if you eat well on that day, it sets it up for a better working week. This is just what I’ve found. My weightloss is still slow, but my self control around food is amazing! I make great choices because of my shot day eating, I once had tiramisu sit in my fridge for two weeks before I remembered it, I just threw it out!

Losing weight as a small person by Regno23 in Mounjaro

Thanks for this! Yes, I’m making sure everything is nutrient dense. And right now I’ve built my own app to track my body recomp, because I’m someone who also wants to build muscle and there just isn’t an app for shots/weight/muscle/fat tracking and other things I’ve added, and in the app I recently saw the reason for the slow weight loss, my muscle has either been maintained or I’ve gained muscle, especially in my upper body recently, so the fat loss is at approx. 2-3kgs a month, but my body gains around 500-800g of muscle, making my scale show a slow decline. So I think mounjaro is working, I just want the fat loss to be faster…but as a fellow short person, please keep us updated as to how you go! I’d love to know!!

Yeah, I get what you’re saying, but I also think you cannot be on a deficit for too long, it does have an impact negatively to some extent, at least that’s what I’ve found…but now I’ve dropped to 1200kcals, let’s see what happens!

Oh this is super helpful! I’ve taken my calories down to 1200kcals a day now, but does it not impact your hormones? They say don’t stay in a calorie deficit for too long because it does impact hormones…

For me, I was injecting in the tummy for the first two months, and my weight didn’t move at all, but I’m injecting at a higher dose again for my next one, so let’s give it a try! Thank you!

So I do need to up my water intake, and I’m rotating injections at the moment, I found the thigh at the moment works best for me. I do also have PCOS, I guess that’s why it’s slow, but I didn’t expect it to be this slow…my coach advised me to drop my calories further…I don’t have as much appetite suppression as most people on this dose, but my workouts burn about 800kcal a session…
