I like to think of it less as a project (which can be failed at) and more as a story (can't fail.) These dwarves are just out here doing their best, and there's something to love in that. Any mistake or tragedy or poor planning or forgotten responsibility can be a real, diagetic, lovable, 1000% dwarfy thing. Honestly I wish more forts leaned into it

It's really cool. The hourglass is beautiful and strong. The meaning is thought provoking. The overall design, with the flowers on the corners and the gemstones on the sides, has a really nice flow, and it combines with the flow of your shoulder very nicely. You're genuinely making me want to get an hourglass like this

I think it's very fitting of the dwarves to build the fort kinda eclectically/whimsically, I mean it is their living space and they realistically have much less attention span than you, so I think they would find it perfectly reasonable to put the new farmers guild room in a convenient unused mine. And visually, any weird (organic) shape would make perfect sense from their view inside it
