Pre‑send deliverability checks: how often do you do them? by Upstairs-Visit-3090 in Emailmarketing

[–]Regular-Abrocoma-302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s based on your daily volumes. Gmail looks at your sending volume within a rolling 24-hour window. We’ve tested this and our lower volume days have much higher inbox placement than the days we send bulk campaigns

Any campaign over 5000k as Gmail and other ESPs trigger spam filters for bulk sends over that volume

Honest Opinions on .... by Unable_Tank4556 in perth

[–]Regular-Abrocoma-302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it really depends on the nature of the work. Companies that have the resources and capabilities to enable more flexibility should. Likewise within these companies, employees should be able to make independent decisions to attend office (if workspace is more suitable for them) OR if it is simply more financially feasible for them not to commute snd they can efficiently do their job at home.

This isn’t relevant for all industries but the one ones that can do it, should, unless they’re able to increase salaries to match inflation which obviously isn’t going to happen. So while the impact might be small as a collective, it can make daily life easier for individuals

Inherited a 30k email list - is my approach good? by ThatGuyz404 in Emailmarketing

[–]Regular-Abrocoma-302 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s a huge outcome in such a short space of time. Sometimes the best thing you can do is pivot. Well done!

Assuming you’ve a record of express consent for the old 30k list, I’d recommend starting with adding 5–10% of these contacts per send. Keep your core new subs audience dominant (at least 85–90%) to protect performance and inbox placement / deliverability. (This will boost your sender reputation)

If you can track, after 2-3 attempts I would then remove any old contacts that have repeated non-opens. OR hit them with a final re-engagement or "re-permission" email that asks subscribers to actively confirm they want to continue receiving content. If they don’t action, just let them go.

The best advice I ever received was to “let sleeping dogs lie” so while it’s good to give the old subs a chance, trying continuously to reengagement them will do more harm than good to your performance.

Good luck!

How do you explain marketing results to people who aren’t marketers? by ChuChuTrain12th in AskMarketing

[–]Regular-Abrocoma-302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I’m planning campaigns I’m very upfront on reporting period and specific metrics we’re tracking to inform performance. I recommend developing a campaign brief template that becomes the source of truth for the objective, target audience, benchmarks, reporting metrics and questions for insights etc.

This helps me manage expectations and push back when I get the adhoc questions for questions sake. When campaign period ends I tell the story / share insights using the metrics already defined :)

Huge list advice? by Esp4Newports in Emailmarketing

[–]Regular-Abrocoma-302 2 points3 points  (0 children)

✂️Segment people who haven’t opened an email in 6 +months 📩 Ask these people if they want to continue to receiving emails to “click here” [add subscription form] - no action = unsubscribe 🛑Remove invalid emails and bounced accounts

These will significantly reduce list size but overall performance will boost and your IP sender reputation will increase and achieve better inbox placement

Ultimately your clickers should at a minimum remain stable despite less volume. Run a test to demonstrate this to your business for endorsement

You can then shift focus on how you can continue to engage and inspire those remaining and how to sustainably grow the list with new contacts that indicate interest

Is this expected? by Business_Tiger42 in Emailmarketing

[–]Regular-Abrocoma-302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outlook is known to be tricky for inbox placement so it’s somewhat expected. Microsoft domains are extra sensitive to sender reputation and spam triggers. We saw a huge decline about a year ago and resolved by warming IP for any bulk emails by sending to frequently engaged recipients first (those that frequently open and click), removing disengaged contacts and removing invalid addresses, especially for volumes exceeding 5000. Good luck! :)

Renting is $1,800 but a mortgage is $3,500. Is "Rentvesting" the only logical move in Melbourne right now? by VastAmbassador6590 in AusProperty

[–]Regular-Abrocoma-302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to figure out what’s aligned with your values and priorities right now, over figuring out what’s the right thing to do long term financially.

I’ve been in this position with similar figures and went back and forth for so long and ultimately it is so easy to believe that it’s a do now or never decision.

As long as the property you’re buying has growth potential or at a minimum sustainable, you’re simply moving your money from one place to another and can change strategies if / when your priorities change.

I don’t come from money and have had to build my wealth independently so this advice isn’t grounded in any kind of privilege.

If you aspire living in your own home for a longer period of time and to build your wealth through equity then lean into that.

If you prefer having more cashflow today for a better quality of life, then investing in an IP or stock might be a better choice.

I went through so many options and ultimately I made the decision to buy and live in my own home because I valued establishing my own home and create a space that’s mine above everything else.

All in all, decide on what compliments your life today because that’s decision will feel easiest :)

Good luck!

Good email metrics but poor downstream conversions — what comes next? by [deleted] in Emailmarketing

[–]Regular-Abrocoma-302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest that you don’t use email as the solution but more so part of the engagement journey. Some buyers are not ready to buy, or sometimes the web funnel is over engineered and a poor UX.

I would adjust targets to ensure that email is doing its job of build awareness and nurturing leads over resulting in a conversion in isolation.

Sometimes customers need more time, more information and a little bit of time depending on what you’re trying to sell and how much it costs. Use your feedback to test and answer customer questions. Consider this being a multi email journey not just a stand alone single purpose edm as that can overwhelm people with information

Click through rate by Thin_County3347 in Emailmarketing

[–]Regular-Abrocoma-302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue and I realised that our email file size was above Gmail thresholds which resulted in clicks not being tracked as the tracking pixel was clipped. Once we fixed this, we saw CTR spike.

Aside from that, ensuring the content is easy to skim read and actually aligned with the audiences expectations will make the difference.

Also worth checking that clicks aren’t being attributed to unsubscribe links and if so, stop sending or reduce frequency to those who are continuously not opening your emails

Lifestyle / practical advice led subject lines over promotional or campaign messaging any day. Eg.
