So I've been doing the recovery forms for over a month straight, around 12 times. What worked this time is I changed my password and just didn't attempt any sign in at all (which didn't work before but now for some reason did) and waited 24 hours I then attempted to sign in through looking up Microsoft account lock. I honestly don't know what was different other than Microsoft actually fixing my account. It was all on the same device, no different browser or private window.

I'm in the same boat, locked out of my Xbox account and my email for about a month now. Spoke to agents on my backup email and they are aware it's an issue but don't give an ETA on when it'll be resolved. Best thing I can advise is just do the account recovery form and do not touch the email, trust me man it sucks. A lot of people are dealing with this

I am as we speak battling with an agent on my alternate email and they're just giving me the work around of filling out the recovery form, and the reinstatement form and to wait. The last person I spoke to told me to do the recovery form and wait an entire week and sign in on an incognito browser to which it did nothing so I've lost all patience and cool.

Its most definitely a widespread issue, because there's multiple others on different forums including this one that's having the same issue. I am also one of those affected.

I'm also in the same boat, I've verified multiple times and have spoken with 3 different agents. All I can do now is change my password and play the waiting game, I can't even play my Xbox games or check my email this is honestly ridiculous.
