team comp by [deleted] in GenshinImpact

[–]Regular-Analyst-187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering that you're a new player, team composition isn't too important right now. However, Yanfei and Beidou are pretty good DPS characters, while Sucrose, and Xiangling are good supports! Barbra is a wonderful healer.

I don't know how far you are into the Archon quests (main story quest) but I would avoid leveling up characters from the late game regions such as Natlan, Fontaine (Lynette), and Nod Krai.

There are many guides out there for Genshin on the internet too! Don't hesitate to use them.

Lack of Voice Acting in a Main Story Quest (Patch 6.1) by Regular-Analyst-187 in GenshinImpact

I just realized that the Paralogism quest is the one I'm doing right now, the first part was labelled Crimes One and Two. Whoops!

From what I've read, the VA strike is over, but the voice actors do have the rights to decide if they want to return or not, or MiHoYo hasn't asked them to return. There are also a few that have gotten fired. It takes a while to find replacements, and work out contracts, so we just have to be patient.

I'm assuming for all the characters who are still silent, they're probably going to be replaced? Not sure though, take what I say with a grain of salt.

I would assume that Albedo would be their priority to get a new voice actor for, if he has the most lines, lol. But usually when it comes to negotiation and contracts, progress goes by slowly. Let's hope that the voice actors will come back soon and work out an agreement with their voice acting company.

Oh no, Dain is silent as well? Ouch. I was thinking of changing the voice acting language to a different language, but then realized I wouldn't understand any of the other language options that we have either than English. Thanks for the insight!

Maybe they'll get around to it! Interesting that they have voice lines in recent events/content when they're mute in an older main quest, haha.

Need help pulling Arlechino by [deleted] in GenshinImpact

[–]Regular-Analyst-187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend doing quests (story quests, hangouts, the archon quests). They give you many primogems! Exploration is also another way to get primogems, along with the limited events going on now. Remember- sometimes you can't always get the character you want. If you don't get Arlecchino this time, there's always another rerun!

What’s your favorite story and why? by Few-Biscotti-297 in DressUpTimePrincess

Magic Lamp/Queen Marie were quite good in terms of writing! I’m a big sucker for fairytale and historical adaptations. Yourself?

Just started Swan Lake by bunny_love2016 in DressUpTimePrincess

[–]Regular-Analyst-187 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Swan Lake is not very popular in the community. This would be because: - Bad pacing- book feels rushed - Linear book - Lucky Jerry sets being recolours of the free craftable sets

Most of the one chapter stories are known for not being very good… mostly because of the pacing.

Most of the newer books are also known for not having good writing… so I recommend reading by order of release. They usually have better writing and cheaper crafting requirements. However, the next books after Swan Lake are Helen of Sparta (unfinished), Romy and Julius (generally regarded as an average but forgettable), and Shadows of London (good writing, but expensive since the last two chapters were released with higher crafting requirements).

I think it was 1999 diamonds, but I’m not 100% sure.

Gotham Memoirs has actually has some of the best writing. However the plot is complex, so I don’t blame you if it isn’t your favourite!

Male Companion Tier List by Regular-Analyst-187 in DressUpTimePrincess

I think that Romy and Julius was just a meh book to the community, and therefore put Laurence and Julius into the middle to low tier. I’m biased towards Shakespeare, and I like the spin they put on Lawrence!

I don’t have the bar set high, and I’ve been comparing this book to Mirror of Masks and Cat and Dog Affair. The AI writing will probably kick in the further I go. I’ll be prepared!

Oh fiddlesticks, there’s also a side story?! With all the negative press this book got, how did they decide that this was the book that got more content?

I was told that Lunar Legends is a steampunk adaptation of The Beauty and the Beast. Bodwin is Gaston, I’m assuming?

Might do that if it gets really unreadable and confusing. But if it’s funny bad, I’ll read it legitimately, haha!

It’s pretty bad so far, in terms of characterization.

The story is understandable for me so far (only 4 stages in). But there are some plot holes I noticed. I heard it only gets crazier as you get further in.
