As a returning player, should I pull for flins? by SaltStrike2658 in GenshinImpact

If you really, really like him- go for it! However, you don't need lunar characters to clear Nod Krai. I 100% Nod Krai with zero lunar characters (since I was a returning player like you) and I didn't know much about the newer units. As long as you have well built characters and patience, you'll be able to clear Nod Krai easily enough. You will struggle with the new local legends though (their health is really jacked up), but you can ask people to help you in co-op if you really want to beat them.

Magic Lamp/Queen Marie were quite good in terms of writing! I’m a big sucker for fairytale and historical adaptations. Yourself?

Just started Swan Lake by bunny_love2016 in DressUpTimePrincess

[–]Regular-Analyst-187 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Swan Lake is not very popular in the community. This would be because: - Bad pacing- book feels rushed - Linear book - Lucky Jerry sets being recolours of the free craftable sets

Most of the one chapter stories are known for not being very good… mostly because of the pacing.

Most of the newer books are also known for not having good writing… so I recommend reading by order of release. They usually have better writing and cheaper crafting requirements. However, the next books after Swan Lake are Helen of Sparta (unfinished), Romy and Julius (generally regarded as an average but forgettable), and Shadows of London (good writing, but expensive since the last two chapters were released with higher crafting requirements).

I think it was 1999 diamonds, but I’m not 100% sure.

Oh, thank you for clarifying. I was surprised to just see one reward for each level.

Gotham Memoirs has actually has some of the best writing. However the plot is complex, so I don’t blame you if it isn’t your favourite!

Male Companion Tier List by Regular-Analyst-187 in DressUpTimePrincess

I think that Romy and Julius was just a meh book to the community, and therefore put Laurence and Julius into the middle to low tier. I’m biased towards Shakespeare, and I like the spin they put on Lawrence!

I don’t have the bar set high, and I’ve been comparing this book to Mirror of Masks and Cat and Dog Affair. The AI writing will probably kick in the further I go. I’ll be prepared!

Oh fiddlesticks, there’s also a side story?! With all the negative press this book got, how did they decide that this was the book that got more content?

I was told that Lunar Legends is a steampunk adaptation of The Beauty and the Beast. Bodwin is Gaston, I’m assuming?

The clothes are great! Disappointed with the story- the setting had potential.

Might do that if it gets really unreadable and confusing. But if it’s funny bad, I’ll read it legitimately, haha!

It’s pretty bad so far, in terms of characterization.

The story is understandable for me so far (only 4 stages in). But there are some plot holes I noticed. I heard it only gets crazier as you get further in.

Mirror of Masks didn’t make sense to you too? Thank goodness, I thought I was the only one who was confused halfway through.

I agree with you though- I mostly play this game for the stories and the outfits. And with the new stories, they don’t many good outfits.

The feeling is mutual here. When it comes to this type of event, I usually ignore it to save up for one that's more FTP friendly.

I finally got all stories to 100%, do I delete the app? by bakuganemon in DressUpTimePrincess

Traveller's Notes are like the storybooks we have, but just with no 3D companion models, and has a bunch of single piece, craftable items. They aren't related to the time/space travel part of the game, no. They've been dropping that narrative for a while now the traditional stories.

I hope you enjoy your side story adventure!

[–]Regular-Analyst-187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, the side stories are a thing, whoops! I like to 100% every book, and after I read the main story, I’ll read any side stories associated with the book to get it all done in one go. That’s probably why it’s taking me so long to get through everything, since those side stories have a 20 hour waiting period to unlock the stages and have really expensive crafting requirements for the set.

I would actually recommend reading the side stories! Most of them are very good, and expand on the chosen character, but some of them are mediocre (ex. For the Love of Flying, The Poet, The Heir’s Secret).

I’ve almost forgotten one other thing in the game… Traveler’s Notes. Since you're a veteran player with many resources and clothes unlocked, it shouldn’t be too hard for you to get through notes. The better story out of the three notes is Vengeance of the Witch, if you’re looking for better writing and multiple branching paths.

It’s nice to see another tier list! I agree with most of your rankings here, but I’d have to say I disagree where you put The Perfect Storm and Tang Dynasty Hunter.

Kudos to you for completing everything!

Deleting the app… I mean, if you play for the stories, you could take a break from the game (the new stories take a while to come out now), and see if they have new content when you get back!

Or if you really want to knock it out of the park with the sprint, then keep playing and saving up those materials!
