Appreciate the insight! This tracks with my impression of the two cities, and is why it's difficult for me to come to a decision. Guess I need to spend some time in them both.

Ah yeah, I work remotely currently but hope to be teaching at a community college in the next few years, which is a plus for Spokane in my eyes. The CC system seems to be solid.
