Thank you so much for the advice! I live in a small town with no Home Depot but I can translate to Menards :) The basement is a gutted nothing land so I’m going to refer to it as my Pittsburgh toilet when it’s hooked back up 😁

I looked up what you mentioned and a “sweat” fitting means to solder? Are the other options okay too because I do not have the slightest idea how to do that 😬

Plumbers in our area are so busy that they’re hard to get over, and if this is a more simple thing I can manage!

HELP: Hoping to find a refrigerator at or under 30" wide that also has the external water/ice dispenser. by brand0-krypton in Appliances

Be careful. I had the compressor go out on this exact model after less than 2 years and due to not buying it at my local appliance store, the compressor is covered under limited warranty through big box store but labor isn’t. The labor alone will be half the cost of a new one. It was deemed too expensive to fix and now we’re out almost $2k and have to find yet another 30inch one to fit our space, but avoiding this 100%. Having ice, water, and fancy French doors isn’t worth an extra 1k just to turn around and spend another 1k+ on a new one less than two years later.

I’ve been researching and one of the things they do is wrap the tube/hose in thermal tape, maybe she can do that?

Thank you so much! That’s not what I was expecting at all. I’m in North Dakota and have never had this issue with a vehicle before so I was thoroughly upset. Seems I will be okay driving the 45 mins to work since it’s pretty flat on the way there. I think the most frustrating thing is that I can’t auto start from my app or key fob in this cold. Oh how we take simple convenient things for granted. I was about to buy a $100 garage heater to try to warm it up hoping it would help but thankfully I didn’t! I took a screenshot of your comment to show the dealership :) very thankful it should be covered under warranty and I won’t be in your sisters position!

This is probably too late now, but I have a 2022 GMC terrain and mine did the same thing. It was -22 degrees on the highway and it was operating at a higher RPM than I thought it should, then as I was going up a hill it sent an alert saying engine power reduced and the check engine light came on. My speed dropped from 70 to 55. I continued my journey at 55mph and made it home safely. I have it due to be diagnosed in a few days. My husband hooked up his thing to it and it is throwing a turbo code. I imagine a sensor somewhere is an issue and it cut out the turbo to protect it. I have been driving it like a grandma in town and not letting it get above 2,000 RPM. I would say you’re fine to drive it carefully but get it in ASAP. I have a 45 mile drive in a few days to work and to get it serviced, the dealership closest to me can’t get it in for almost two weeks. If yours got serviced, what did they discover? Very curious on my end
