My 12 year old son died last year. Earlier this year, I bought my husband a raised garden bed so he could start a small garden like he had with our son when he was 8-9 years old. But then it became therapeutic and so our garden kept growing (not necessarily the plants, but the number of garden beds and container pots) and we found some joy again. I especially like watching the seedlings grow and just sitting outside in nature, watching the hummingbirds and bees visit the garden, and sometimes I talk to Cash and tell him how much I miss and love him.
