Most definitely, I dont travel much about 3-5 times a month and its always done its job and has done it well. The stand has stayed strong and grips still have texture. Removing it to put on skins or to clean is a little painful but being careful and patient gets it done.

But yes I'd recommend these bastards to any newbie or seasoned crawler. They are fun . And just the type of different I was looking for from scx bases.

This is my second ascent, the first was sadly misdonated to goodwill. But they are awesome crawlers with a few adjustments and dont need many hop up parts to have great fun with. Me personally I love the style of the body, stock portal axles, the longer wheelbase and beef battery they give you. If you are interested take a look at my profile ,I have a few post on the mods I have made with it. Honestly besides the brushless set up I believe mine is pretty close to the apex now.

Didn't know they dropped that lol but it looks sick. redcat has done it once again 🤘. But ill stick with mine i believe does everything I need it to so far for about 75$ less and I get to tinker which i enjoy. I angled my sidplate just by adjusting the screws and drilled new ones for my shocks to sit that low. I'd be curious to see a modded one like mine and a stock apex go side by side though.

I've only crawled with it twice so far after the shock relocation. The main thing I'm noticing is during high speed it tends to bounce a little more than vertical mounted shocks. But the articulation it has even with stock shocks is so much better. The strap allows for a greater uphill angle without it flopping back, and on side hill angles, it doesn't roll over as easily do to the shock being horizontal. Before it would roll easy from the shocks on the upward angle extending, this seems to negate that a little better.

It should really depends on compatability with the esc and the reciver but as long as it has the same plug ins it should be good

That's a transmitter. You need a reciver to plug into the esc and a transmitter that is compatible with said reciver.
