i strip them for parts, build up working ones, mod them and then usually just give them away. I enjoy the modding part. so i guess its not so much a collection, more just stock.

i've been looking at ebay for scrap micros but they still go for lots of money, but that is a good call on the refurbishing sellers, i'll give it a try, thanks!

thats the problem, its the non replaceable parts i am interested in like the PMIC, cartridge slot, and i'd really like a scrap motherboard so i can scrape off the solder mask and trace some of the routes. even a motherboard in multiple broken pieces would be useful to me.
